Porting, Polishing, and Cams project
My shop actually has the Autologic for Mercedes software, so they can raise my idle. I'll see if that does the trick. If not, Kleeman here I come.
The car feels like it pulls harder with the cams, but it is still too early to know exactly what they did. The car needs to be retuned. It is running too rich. I'm going to get a Kleeman ECU tune very soon.
it would be nice to see what just cams will do to the car before you have it tuned again...

Your camshafts were measured and indeed we found on one camshaft base circle deviations which were not corresponding to our specifications.
The new production will be ready in the next week and we'll ship a new set to you immediately.
Once these are installed and the car runs satisfying we'll discuss how we may compensate the extra labour you had with these.

By the way, did you ever get a dyno with just the polished heads???
I know, but in order for me to make any power, I will need to send my ecu back...again.
I have not had a chance to take the car to GRD, which is where I normally do pulls. At this point, I really don't see a need to go. The car is not making the power it should be making because of my tune.
I will do another few pulls after the cams are in and the car has time to adjust. We should be able to use Joe's before and after dyno, and my before and after dyno to tells us about what each mod is good for.
I can tell you that my Trq. curve is much better now and I'm making more power earlier and holding on to it longer, which I'm very happy with.
Joe - If you have some time this weekend and want to make a few runs, let me know. Neither car is running @ 100%, so it might be a good time to do first round runs. After both cars are back to 100%, we can do it again. Did you dyno the car with the cams yet? I'm assuming you did because you sent your A/F ratio to Kleeman. Did you lose power because of your tune?
I talked to Sunil on Saturday and he was like: hey man! I'm putting together a Kleemann headers GB... are you in!?
My respond was: hey why not.
And now this...
These cams will complement those headers!
