Porting, Polishing, and Cams project
In an earlier post you said the car felt slower with the cams as compared to having the headers. Are you saying that the car now feels faster? How is the car running now that the ECU has had a chance to adapt?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
It turns out that Kleeman did not need an initial AFR, so we didn't run on the dyno. They have a base map for my mods that should be pretty close. I should have the ECU back tomorrow. I'll hit the dyno and then have Kleeman do another tweak.
All I care about at this point is the A/F ratio. First Dyno run was in the 10's, second run (different dyno) was in the low 11's. I was getting about 16 - 17 MPG that day.
Some of us can't wait for the results...
Jerry, any updates on your car yet?
If anyone is thinking about jumping on these, now is the time. I know there are a few people that were thinking about it.
Pics are attached.
Let me guess ... hmmmm... work..... go to the shop to install new cams......
screw work .... cams here we go !!!!!!!!!!!
Hope this time will work
Last time I was on the dyno I gained 14-16whp across the board and over 10wftlbs across the board. That was with ZERO ECU adaptation time and the measurements were taken on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. I don't have the dyno sheets yet. Remember, this was for cams only on a S2 car. I did not port my heads.
I'm going to let the ECU adapt for a while, then hit the dyno again.
