Good luck Jerry. i'm fighting to get my quaife installed.....looks like i need new rear axles. the expense will push me away from the cams...at least for the next few months.

Thanks! The dyno that I'm using for comparison is 354HP.

I'd love to see a C32 in the 400's I know that's a bit lofty w/out say a twin turbo app, but you never know.
23 lbs. of boost from stock blower. EVOIII Power Package.

This was my C32 during EuroTuner GP in 2004. At 23 lbs. the kompressor clutch is "iffy". You can see it slipping at lower rpms.
The highest number is TQ converter spike. Most runs are in 410RWHP range.
On a new WinPep7 software you can place max. values anywhere on the graph. I just put them at the bottom, to get them out of the way.
This is SICK! But why doesn't the graph show the highest #'s? only written on bottom of dyno sheet?

Some issues I need to address:
The car has overheated once in the past two weeks and spit coolant all over the engine bay. I flushed my system the weekend before and replaced my coolant with water\water wetter. MB diagnosed the car has having an air pocket in the system.
My S/C clutch still does not engage 100% of the time. Renntech and many helpful forum members (THANK YOU) have informed me that this issue is going to be tough to figure out. It could be IAT's (confirmed it's not), engine temp (engine temps sit between 80 and 100), etc. Renntech said that there are a few other things it could be and has given me a few things to try tomorrow. Vadim and Erick have also been very helpful and they have given me a few things to try tomorrow as well. I have a 10:00AM appointment for another set of pulls. This time I will be on a dynojet and will try the few things that everyone has asked me to try. MB could duplicate the problem but they are clueless as to what it could be. Yes, my IC pump is working fine. I replaced it 12k ago... but just for kicks, I ordered a new one.
I need to go to Autozone and get some kit that Renntech said they carry that will test my coolant for hyrdocarbons. If it tests positive, then I have a blown head gasket. This is worst case scenario...
So, I'm not in the best of moods right now, mainly because finding someone local that is skilled enough to troubleshoot this is going to be tough.
At this point I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't know where to start looking because I have a feeling that tomorrow will yield the same results with little or no direction to the problem.
I'm working on a few other mods, one of which will make everyone smile, but I'm not going to release any details until I get my car in order. I can't install it with the car running lean because I'll end up frying my rings....and no it isn't NOS. One of other mods is a custom C&R radiator that will be a drop in replacement for the C32. I sent them a used C32 radiator for measuring so all of us can order one if so desired. The thickness will be increased by 1" and it is made of billet aluminum. The overall capacity will be increased to allow for more coolant. They are going to make sure that the fan will mount up and that the lines are in the correct spot. I'm having them make me a non drop in replacement radiator. I want to seperate my tranny fluid and coolant for obvious reasons. I ordered a tranny cooler that will be mounted in front of the radiator. Removing the tranny fluid from the radiator will give me a needed piece of mind....no more glycol worries. Another mod is one that I copied from 1FastC32. I ordered a Cobra heat exchanger to replace the factory unit that we currently have. It is being delivered directly to Erick so he can weld mounting brackets for me. I also ordered another tank for the IC coolant. I want the system to be seperate.
So, with the new Johnson IC pump, new heat exchanger, new radiator, and new IC coolant tank, the car should run a little cooler. Hopefully, I'll be able to upgrade the IC core in the near future to aid even more.

I'm not trying to avoid posting my results, but I don't want this thread convoluted with issues and low dyno numbers that are not related to the topic...you know? I don't want someone to not mod their car because they think they will have the same issues. If fact, my car was running lean way before I ported the heads and Renntech assures me it shouldn't. I shouldn't have went forward with the mods until I got that issue resolved. Oh well, isn't this a learning experience for us all??
Here are the graphs...

Also, compare the trq curve with the chart above to this chart. If I can get my power back, I will have tons of trq through all of the RPM range.

Jerry -
I am sorry to hear about all the issues you are having with your car. That just sucks. I for one have been eagerly awaiting your dyno pulls. I want to see you put down some serious numbers.
I had a couple of things come up over the last couple of months that have caused me to postpone purchasing the cams.
I am about ready to pull the trigger but can't remember if dyno's on a stage 1 or stage 2 have been posted. No headers for us SLK32 guys yet.
I will have to keep an eye out for the radiator and see if it will fit in the SLK32.
Good Luck tomorrow!

OK, here is the graph and data logs from the two pulls I did this morning. Take a look at lines 63-122 and notice the timing.
As you can see, the car is running really lean and is pulling timing.

The ECU is on its way back to Renntech for another flash. It is possible that MB updated my ECU and the Renntech flash is gone.
Once they get the ECU, they can verify if it has been erased. If it hasn't, then they are going to be agressive with the tune and make the needed changes.
If it has, then they are going to flash it again and make some minor changes.
I won't know more until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

Maybe a fuel pressure problem. I would not count on the radiator solving anything. The stock C32 radiator is more than enough. I flogged this car for 30mins straight at WOT in 107 degree heat at the track and it never comes close to running warm.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

I'm doing it to remove the tranny fluid from the radiator and increase capacity. The extra cooling will be a benefit.
You must have the exception C32...heak soak is a huge issue with this car.
Thanks!

Heat soak where? I know the blower/ic soak very quickly, but my radiator fluid has never become too hot, even when I repeatedly pound on the car on a 95 degree day.
