To sum up 3 pages...
Just do it.. You can't go wrong with the price and the result.
It will not hurt ur car's performance..
It MAY (depends on dealers) void ur exhaust warranty..
As for the sound, it's well worth $50...
. <-- period

When you put Code3's HE in, do you have the head light washers? I only ask because I had to re-route ALL of the lines to get mine to fit, aka bolt up.
Just curious
See yeah

Why? Did the resonator get removed during the incident?

Anyone have an in-car before and after audio clip? I wanna hear what it sounds like while I'm driving.

resonator deleted
Per the advice on this thread I deleted my resonator at a good local shop for 40 bucks. They put in a stainless straight pipe. The sound produced is, I believe, what a W203 engine deserves. Very throaty in the 3k rpm to 4k rpm range. Quiet as stock when freeway cruising. Puts a smile on my face.

Muffler?
The burning question for me that I did not see mentioned, and the whole reason I registered on here, is how does it sound if you delete just the muffler at the very very back and leave all cats and the resonator in place?? Also, how similar is the 2004 C320 exhaust to a C32 of the same year?, since the car in question is a N/A non AMG.

Are there any good locations in the MD/DC/VA area that can do this type of job (ie resonator delete, and replace with S/S pipe) for the $50-80 price range that I've read others state that they have been able to get their replaced for in their areas??

You might find a place to do it cheap but it may take you a lot of time and headache like for myself.
I got mine for $70 AUD and had quotes close to $200 originally.. got the end result and love it and I wasn't going to pay someone 3 times what it's worth out of principle that I had done research and knew what the job was worth.

What would you say is best? Cutting the resonator or the secondary cats? Or both???
I've heard if you cut both out then you lost back pressure and your car feels rather sluggish until you get it re-tuned??? Any thoughts?

You have C32.. Less back pressure should be good for your car. Beside, if you look at the resonator, there aren't many restrictions for the flow.. It's just a thick piece of pipe to reduce sound level.
