Selling RENNtech C32
Asking $30k and not really looking to bargain much, again it's not a desperation decision.
I am not in desperation mode either as mines paid off so I just think of it as a depreciating asset sitting in front of my house. I probably only drive it 25 miles a week.. LOL.. but it's an exciting 20 miles after she's warmed up..
BTW, can you post a pic of your "RENNtech Rear Spoiler"? I'll be interested if you part it out.
The car looks really clean, good luck with the sale.
not if i get there first...
if he gets $30k for his car, i will sell mine and get an E55...

I thought it might be a bit optomistic as well, but then I did some research and found that geographically the west coast seems to command a bit more for a vehicle, any vehicle. Don't know why. Second, there are several stock 02' C32's with roughly the same mileage for the same asking price in Calif. In AZ there are only 2 C32's (listed). But, being a realist I am aware that people will only pay what they feel it's worth. I contacted a friend of a friend that wants the car and he's coming to look at it this weekend. Could be gone by Monday.
Part of me hopes nobody buy's it. It would be a sad day indeed.
I did see a C63 AMG on the road today, man what a hot car.

Is there another model other than the C63 that shares that power plant 6.3 liter in an AMG?
BTW I like your C32, I hope you don't sell it either....lol!
Maybe he saw that.
30k for a 61k mile old 2002? I got 33.5 on a buy back for my 2002 back in what 2004? Good luck with that sale! It sadly is worht closer to maybe 22-24k MAX.
A close friend had a 55k mile old cherry C32 (2003) and he could not get rid of it for his life at 21.5k.
Mods go for .10 on the $1 so that renntech upgrade should go for 400 bucks.
It was gorgeous and sounded awesome. I can only imagine what a simple ECU flash would do to it.
can't wait to see a C63 on the road... preferrably just as it's lining 'em up against the new V8 M3 - those're both gonna be amazing when they're out!
Didn't see this question before - they're basically ALL the 6.3 powerplant at this point (unless you've got one of the big-dog 65s... thumbs up for a AMG-tuned twin-turbo V12 with ridiculous horsepower and freight-train torque).
This N/A 6.3L V8 is the first AMG engine completely designed and built from scratch by AMG (opposed to all previous engines being tuned versions of MB designed and engineered products) - I do think it's interesting, however, that they've decided to shoehorn it into every AMG model - but I guess the body styles are different enough that you'd pick different ones based on your needs/wants...

Even my wife is telling me to reconsider, that it doesn't need to go (clear title).
OR....maybe, this way they can get some "Consistency" in fixing/servicing the AMG Line!! I think that all the different AMG "engine types" really played havoc on the "basic" MB techs... at least this was my experience as they seem to fix the "regular" benzies fine.

But you could get lucky.
SMGC32 has a C32 for sale and 20k is a struggle for a 2003 with 48k miles and 3 more years of warranty.

Highest price: $38,500
Lowest Price: $20,885
Average Price: $27,339
17 of them alone on the first page are between $27,000 and $37,000. Not to argue, but clearly these are facts using the source you mentioned.

I'd expect to see most of those $30-$40k cars sit for a long time and then sell in the low to mid $20's.
As I said, I hope you can get it. If not, I hope you enjoy the car as much as I enjoy mine. Good luck.
Needless to say I did not trade it in. I would rather keep it or sell it to a forum member..
I agree with you ScottW911, which is why I would never start at the bottom dollar and attempt to negotiate up. This is all relative and pointless anyway. The guy that called last night will be here this afternoon. My stomach is starting to tell me something like go and secure the garage door with liquid nails and tell him sorry it's stuck.
Again, it's not something we have to do. But, it came up as one of our options for another opportunity.
