PTT voice lever? where to get it?

Anyone, help! I need this part: Q6820551. It is a PTT lever for a 2002 C32. I think it works on all 2002 C class.

Discontinued at MB, anyone? any ideas?

Thanks!

The lever in my 02 C32 looks just the same as the lever in the 07 C280 I drove for a month. Maybe you could use one from that model...

I just recently purchased one for my C55 - the part was current and available at the dealer. I paid <$15. The lever should be the same for all W203s.

I believe that I purchased part number Q 682 08 37. The part number you note is listed by MB as for an SLK.

Exclamation No luck ordering

OK guys, just checked OEM parts direct, and they cancelled my order, with "part unavailable". Any other ideas???

To the other dude, asking about VCS. It's Voice Control System and it is awesome. I have it in my car, and I pull the stick, and say "dial name", car says "name please", I say "whatever name", and it dials it. I can also say "CD 2, track 5" and it goes to it...bla bla bla, it's awesome. I also have the blue tooth puck installed into the phone cradle, and love that.

Sounds cool. Please keep us updated on what solution you come up with.

I got all the voice related stuff for like $150 on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=300071759158

those are all the parts I used...already had the phone related stuff, added that and blue tooth puck for about $300, and I was golden...now I just have this issue of a loose PTT lever that comes off when I push it up.

go here for all the things you need to know about installing it...

http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsit..._bulletins.htm

it actually has the installation guide that includes the voice stuff...

SO NO ONE HAS ANY IDEAS TO GETTING THE RIGHT PART??

It won't work in the 2005-2007 cars. These are MOST ring, the 2004 and below cars are D2B.

I did the install on my 2005, and the parts are different, except for the PTT lever - that looks identical to the one I used.

It's mentioned above that it (PTT lever) comes loose - if you can easily pull it out, then it's not installed correctly, and that's why it's loose.

Unhappy Pretty Positive I have the wrong lever

if you go to the link i posted on how to do it for a 2002 C32, page 4, figure 5, that's the lever that matches the other levers (cruise and signal indicator). The one I have on there, matches the 2003 and above ones. And it's shorter then the one I have on there now.

And it doesn't really come off that easy, thing is, when you turn it down and in, it stays, but every time i pull the key in and out, it moves up..and if i let it move up all the way, after hitting it a few times, it pops out.

I tried everything, even calling other dealers, no dice...part is gone, and I'm SOL.
