have a Check Engine light on right? Get a OBD2 scanner and
pull out the fault code.
autopart and tried their unit, it worked, so I remembered the
part # and make and went to ebay and amazon.
go to Amazon and type in OBD2 scanner. tons of stuff there.

or google it, if not post it and I'll look it up in m OBD2 book.
actually that unit you bought is suppose to come with a
reference chart for the codes that will pop up.

The technician said the car was not able to go to the direction it should go with the preset calibrations of the steering causing the computer to read wrong figures during driving.
You need to bring it to the shop at once, if this is the case, you might lose your steering. Pls note that the Rack & Pinion is very very expensive
1- insert key in ignition, turn to 2nd position, do not start car.
2- depress accelerator to the maximum point and hold for at least 5 seconds.
3- turn ignition off while holding accelerator down. Then release the pedal.
4- (I do not think this step is nessesary) Wait 2 minutes before starting your car.
5- watch your ESP (triangular) warning light flicker for 200 yards as you spin the rears.

This process can be done as often as you wish without any problems.



. They replaced the whole ESP unit.
