Why would the 300C SRT-8 be any different than the Magnum? They are the same cars with the exception of the Magnum weighing about a hundred pounds more. The Magnum, however, has the advantage of more weight over the rear wheels which as I'm sure you know helps it get out of the hole better.

LOL, I can vouch for that. I say we lock the thread--NOT. Sore sports FTMFL. But at the track, at least from this compare at Drag Times, it looks like modded C32's are outrunning stock Magmum SRT-8s.

We can go back and forth on here all day and night about which is faster on the forums, in the magazines, etc. but what's the point? This is a MB forum so of course everyone is going to say the C32 AMG is the faster car and that everyone here smokes SRT-8s. If I were to post these videos up on the SRT-8 forums, I'm sure all the SRT-8 guys would say the same thing about smoking C32 AMGs. This is how the Internet is. The only way to settle this is to run what ya brung and bring those C32s (or C55s in your case) out to the highway for a little fun. We'll post the videos since videos don't lie.

One of my good friends NYC_SRT8 who is a member here and on the 300C forums ran a 12.6 @111mph with his modded 300c as I posted . 12.1 @ 118mph NOS. He has headers,chip,cai,full exh and ran 111mph b4 our eyes. If you personally saw those guys run 111mph in the 1/4 mile instead of reading where some one says they ran 111mph then so be it.
The problem is the SRT-8 doesn't respond well to mods like headers, chip, CAI, and exhaust because all of those parts are already pretty well optimized from the factory. This is why you see some guys with bolt ons trapping the same as what others trap stock.
