I don't get it. The dude's got a video of one car smoking another in a street race. Where I come from it's "run what you brung" and that means no excuses. Too hot, too clod, hit a squirrel, missed a shift, or forgot to take the parking brake off--it doesn't matter because it's the street and not an F1 track. You race and one car wins and another loses. "Why" has nothing to do with it! At this moment in time the Magnum smoked the Benz. Period.

Yep agreed and now he has a chance to race my modded AMG which would have similar pwr to a stg 2 C32 and have his findings printed in stone when he wins! this way we know he can beat ALL Stg 2 C32's with a Stck SRT8 as well.

On second thought, . It has become a pissing match between two big talkers. Try the phone or PM. This conversation would be alot quicker that way.

Now that I think about it, this reminds me of my last trip to the zoo's chimp cages. They spent the whole day throwing sh*t at each other too.

This pissing match alpha male bull**** regarding races that occur IN A STRAIGHT LINE is one of the reasons I sold my C32 in the first place. I happen to love the SRT-8, and I'm not so surprised that one came along that could beat my car when driven by an experienced driver. No excuses is right. I really wish I had been the one driving my old car though - I have a feeling the result may have been different just because I know it so well.

That said, Tom you should have the car checked out. There's no way a stock SRT-8 should take you down - they are supposed to run such similar times when both are stock and this C32 is a verifiable stage 2+

c32 is a heavier car???

WTF?

is the SRT-8 3500lbs?

C32 AMG - RIP :(
regarding the "standing mile" race talked about earlier, I don't suggest ANY stock benz to challenge a stock SRT8 to this race. Our stock limited 155mph will be seriously trumped by their ungoverned 173-175 mph top speed.

Yes, in less than 1 mile too.

Hey marc:

Okay, I spoke with my Chrysler dealer " Mick's North Hills Chrysler, 412-367-7200"

Anyway, they informed me that the tune on SRT motors does vary GREATLY. They claim 4.9-5.2 0-60 times for the 300, and STILL claim that the Chargers are a bit slower. My brothers, in the the General managers words, is the FASTEST one they had, and they would still buy IT BACK!

That being said, they will BUY your car for sticker, if it is stock and can reproduce your 4.5 times. They too claim

Oh well, give them a call and make some money marc

See yeah

Read my post again. I was referring to the SLK32 AMG I had back in 2003 when I said the C32 AMG is heavier.

What about all of the guys on the SRT-8 forums who have done 0-60 in 4.2 to 4.4 seconds? Mine is only middle of the pack.

I'm not sure that you can get to 155 in a mile, unless you're rolling 40 or 50 mph when you hit it. The back straight at VIR is supposedly a mile, and you enter it at about 30MPH. Granted I have to lift throttle in time to stop, but I top out at about 130 to 135 before I lift. One thing the C32 does very well is build speed from 50 to 100, but progress gets a little slower once you're over 120.

As mentioned before, snap a pic of this supposed 4.5 0-60 time. Even if it somehow show's 4.5 I still doubt those are all that accurate.

Even if you're "middle of the pack" you still have a chance to make bank here. Sell it back and buy another one. Easy way to make a buck...unless of course its

Say what you mean then. C32 is not an SLK32, obviously. Though they are similiar cars, when you call something a "C32 AMG" we naturally presume you are referring to (gasp) a freakin C32 AMG.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/d...d900499900.htm

can you explain this?

stage 1 with a few other goodies.. notice he is missing the headers which yield the most power other than pullies.

and here is a SLK32 running 110.. at 12.6
can you explain that?

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/e...458ae866a2.htm

you my friend. did not run a healthy C32, specially one with pullies and headers.
