Here's what heat does to the brakes
This shot was taken about a week ago. The calipers had already turned a light gold color from previous track sessions but now they turned this deeper gold color after my latest stint with the Ferrari club guys at Summit Point. Also notice the heat cracks in the rotors.

Were those actually drilled by you or by another shop or are those actually drilled rotors by a manufacturer like brembo ? I'm curious as to if the heat actually caused the stress cracks on the rotors from already weakened/torqued areas on the rotor, or if that is what actually happens to drilled rotors.
I've seen drilled rotors that have been on tracks with heavy heavy use not exhibit the cracks that I've seen on those rotors. Something is awry, either whoever drilled those just drilled holes and torqued the area around the holes or those rotors are just not that good.

Wow!!
I like the New color on your calipers but not the crack rotors. Well, it's time to get a set of new carbon rotor for your C32.

I have to ask, were you given a few cool down laps? If so, you should not be using the brakes at all during this time. Did your dealer ask when you went to get them replaced under warranty?

I do a slow cool down lap always. My Porsche Big Reds turned brown after some time. I did not ask the dealer to replace the calipers. Looking into a big brake kit.

white and whiter
hey, the new color of the Caliper is cool...just like those brembo on the new Z/G35 coupe. No, i'm not playing.
don't worry about the crack holes, they are bound to happen someday on the cross-drilled rotors. My bro has cross-drilled rotor from brembo for his car as well. it starts to crack after 30-40 k miles. Of course, tracking would make it appear faster due to the heat

ones too fast according to CHP!
Jon,
WOW!
Yes, we have found that the breaks are great - for a while. The big brake kits are really nice.
The two that we are working on now are for both front and rear:
- Brembo 14" Front, 13.2 Rear
- MB SL55 Front and Rear.
That should make the car stop a bit better and allow you more longevity with rotors and caliper color! 8^)
Thanks
Brad
