Removing C32 Grill

Hello everyone..

Newbie here! picked up a 2003 C32 recently and i'm loving it! first things first was clearing out the corners on the bumper and now it's time to retrofit a 2006 grill with the 3 spokes.. i tried searching for instructions on removing the grill but did not find anything.. how difficult is this??

TIA
Jaime

I have never posted it before, which is why you didn't find it If you are going with another OEM grill, it probably comes with the clips, so you can skip that part. Otherwise, its just screws.

Is the center latch on our hoods really necessary? Reason I ask is cuz I installed a grill from formymercedes, but forgot to install the longer hood release tab. I went to put it on today and couldn't figure it out. But I completely removed the latch and mistakenly shut the hood I had my oh shi! moment. But I reached under the dash and released the hood just fine. I did it 3-4 times. Hood closes fine, secures, and releases fine - with no center latch? So what the heck is the point of the center hood release latch?

Hmm?
I have a real ghetto setup - when I changed my grill and installed the longer hood release latch, it disintegrated when I closed the hood the first time!
Now I travel with a clothers hangar and pull it out when I have to open the hood! I just tell people it is a 'security mod'!

Purely a safety feature. Who wants their hood to lift up on them at freeway speed? You know, all those times you accidentally reach down and pull the hood release as you bomb down the autobahn....

Seriously, I'd want it there for the peace of mind.

That's hilarious. If you need a new tab the guys at formy.... the guy will send you one for free if you pay the $2 shipping.
