? guys

I want to make a homemade dip stick for my c55. any suggestions.
Also I changed my oil a few days ago and I noticed that the car only took 7quarts. and it said full on the display (8.71).
any info will be helpfull. BTW The only plug to drain the oil I saw waqs only 1 some people said that the car has 2.????

i use an oil extractor to extract the oil out of the dipstick...i can get 8 quarts out that way out of the 8.5 quarts that the C32 has...

If you look closely you will see the first plug before the rack in pinion. The second is the one you took off. That will drain about what you described. The first one only drains about 1 1/2 quarts. When i did my own oil change i added 8 quarts and it was ok. Btw i did not change the oil filter. Hope that helps.

why would you not change the oil filter?

Because the car was serviced 1800 miles ago by the dealer. But i took the car to the track a few times and wanted to put some fresh oil in it.

Thats cool, i have heard a few storys about knocking sounds from the engine so just trying to be somewhat safe after running the car hard at the track.
