342rwhp & 345rwtq
This is achieved today on a Mustang Dyno, going back Monday
or Tuesday on a Dynojet.
Can't wait to get LET's Pulley, Headers, and Software!
I gotta start copying Jerry's cooling system ASAP!

RENNtech C32 AMG
I thought those "baffles" were there not so much for the noise, but to allow water sucked through the grill, to fall through the holes and not go through the intake. It looks much more turbulent, restrictive and less aerodynamic. I popped mine open and found a lot of residue from the water that had went in. If I were to ditch them, I would add a straight pipe to bypass them. Carbon fiber for looks maybe? For now, I'm leaving them alone, since theres no real performance gain from losing them. Technically there wouldn't be any harm from the small amounts of water going past the filters (in an extreme case) since the C32 has no MAF. Personally, I think it would be less turbulent if the baffles were left in place since it's a smooth tube with holes in there.

Ok so the Baffs have no to little power add-on? I think if not much is gained in term of power then why risk the crap getting thru...a resenator delete has better sound when I compareed a baff removed youtube sound clip and a resenator delete sound clip.

342 rwhp & 345 rwtq Which dyno gave you these numbers & what happened from before posts of 325 rwhp. Did you get this number with ***** from Lujan or ***** from Mak? Sorry for the questions just curious to know which dyno is more accurate or maybe you did something that did some magic to bump you up almost 20 rwhp.

I made 342RWHP & 345RWTQ at ***** @ MAK Performance a week later
with the baffles REMOVED and a HUGE industrial Dayton fan as you can see
earlier in the thread. The fan was the size of my engine if not bigger.
Lujan uses two smaller fans. I just got home from dynoing my brothers 01
C5 Corvette and I'm going back after I eat lunch and him dynotune a SRT4
as I just left there. My brother's C5 made 315RWHP & 330RWTQ. Here are
a pic and the dynograph.

white and whiter
the baffle serves no drainage purpose other than reduce the intake noise. the water is drained from the main airbox. i don't think it's much of an issue if it creates turbulence if any since it's a ram air design a lot more air are pushed in instead of being sucked in. there is no performance gain other than making the intake sounds better. i took mine out.

I think my dataloger is taking a crap on me, I couldn't record any of the
14 passes I made when I was at PBIR (used to be Moroso) I didn't forget
about you and Donn. But quick peek I did saw 22psi on the mid 60 temp
and the small 25shot NOS. I plan on going back when the track gets more
rubber.
There was a E55 with ASP pulley and LET software running 12flat, when
I ran 12.930 at best. I plan on going back when I get my cooling issue
fixed. Man this car is a blast to drive!

until i swapped my intake last week, i ran no intake baffles for three years with no problems. there is a slight increase in noise and i have noticed a slight increase in throttle response. no reported or related problems whatsoever.
