High pitch winding noise...

'05 C55 AMG

High pitch winding noise...

When getting a service b done i asked the "service manager" to check what this high pitch winding noise was when i started my car for about 5 sec, then 10 sec later my rpms would drop from about 1200rpm to 8000rpm. His response was b/c i have a supercharged kompressor engine in my 05 c55 amg and it's just warming up...

its probably your power steering. Check the fluid level. Its the tank right under your right intake. I had the same thing and it was just getting a little low. Goodluck

I complained about that as well. It sounds like a squeeky belt. They told me it was the oil pump. Dunno about that. I might check that ps fluid, but doubt it as they check that as part of the service.
