When getting a service b done i asked the "service manager" to check what this high pitch winding noise was when i started my car for about 5 sec, then 10 sec later my rpms would drop from about 1200rpm to 8000rpm. His response was b/c i have a supercharged kompressor engine in my 05 c55 amg and it's just warming up...

its probably your power steering. Check the fluid level. Its the tank right under your right intake. I had the same thing and it was just getting a little low. Goodluck

I complained about that as well. It sounds like a squeeky belt. They told me it was the oil pump. Dunno about that. I might check that ps fluid, but doubt it as they check that as part of the service.

Bring it back to him and tell him you want your blinker fluid replaced under warranty.

I had some high pitched squeal on cold starts before, turned out to be one of the pulleys at the top where the supercharger is.
