I did it at local shop for 50$, they put pipe instead of resonator and muffler and then welded non crome dual tip so it's stiil looks stock except it doesn't shine as much on the sun as those oem chrome tips do.

sounds nice for a track set up. did you lose power due to loss of backpressure?
running just mid muffler without rear box might be an intermediate step.
i like the sound tho.

You've got a friendly muffler shop - I just had my resonator removed this weekend, and replaced w/ straight SS, at my local Midas. With tax and everything, it cost roughly $125. Labor alone was almost $100...

Is the Centre Exhaust on the Supersprint website the kind that you are suggesting as an intermediate step? I am considering removing the rear muffler right now, probably order the Supersprint Centre Exhaust with the Y-Connecting Pipe for a quad exhaust set up. Don't know if I should take out the Rear Cats as well, or replace it with a Kleeman Cat.

2005 C55 AMG
Back pressure is a bad thing. I wrote a whole diatribe about this via another post, so I won't go much into it again, however, I assure you he does not need "back pressure" on his forced induction setup.
Remember, an engine is nothing more than a big air pump, and the goal is to get as much air into it, and out of it, as quickly and efficiently as possible.
When you have a supercharger trying to push air through the engine, the last thing you want is "back pressure", ie a bottleneck in the exhaust system that prevents that air from flowing freely and escaping as rapidly as possible.
I don't know how restrictive the resonator and muffler is on the C32, however by removing it on the C55 it only gained 2 rwhp on the dyno through the normal power curve. But, it did carry the curve a little further before dropping off, therefore showing as more air is trying to escape the system, it picks up power and carries that power a little further by removing the restrictive devices. By default it should make even more of a difference on a supercharged application.

2002 C32 AMG silver & 2003 Lancer Evolution 8 black very moded
i think it sounds pretty good... but i feel like it sounds like some of the JDM's out there? which im not a big fan of. even my EVO8 has a better sound than the HS kid's civic. but i also have about $30grand invested in the EVO.
i think the quad exhaust will look good but try it out and get it dyno'd and see where the numbers stand.

I completely agree that everyone has different tastes - I know some of the styling things I might like, others will think are hideous. However, although I think our cars can be made to sound good and maybe even better than some V8s; that doesn't sound like a V8 to me. Here is one for comparison.
