Through searching the forum, I also decided on Akebono ceramic pads (purchased through Tirerack). Haven't put them on yet so I can't directly comment on their performance...but most people have been happy with it.
I'm waiting on some rotors, then going to slap on Akebono pads on all 4 corners, installing stainless steel brake lines, and doing a brake fluid flush with Motul brake fluid.

The only slight disappointment was my expectation of a noticeably firmer pedal vs. stock - in reality, it's hardly (if any) different, for whatever reason.
If you're waiting on rotors anyway and can get by awhile longer, you may want to check out Code3's 2-piece rotors whenever they become available - I would've gone this route, had they been around when mine needed to be changed.

They can be bought at Autozone or Advance Auto. GL! I got the front pads at Autozone last year for like $60ish and the rears for like $55ish from Advanced Auto a couple weeks back.
