a car that can't do the throttle reset.

OK, so I have been having some performance woes. Felt like the whole intercooler thing... losing power on full throttle. But it hasn't been happening lately. Ironically, it stopped once I brought it in to the dealer to check out. Anyway, I am all worried that it may be a transmission issue. As in, the car is not downshifting on hard throttle applications.
Recently, When completely stopped and shifting in park from drive... moving over NEUTRAL yields a weird result. The revs jump from 500 to 1,000 and stay there for a few seconds and drop to about 800. This is intermittent as well, so I know its not normal. At least it never happened before. Any ideas? Thanks.

For what it is worth everytime I put my car from D to P the revs always jump up for a couple sec's and go down. I was wondering myself if this was normal? I have had no performance issue though.

Mine has been doing the same thing more and more frequently over the last year or so. The strangest part is it seems to always do it most consistently when I turn into my neighborhood. By the time I stop to back into the garage, the tach is jumps up to 1100 rpm. If I park it will settle down in a about 30 seconds.

Good to know others have this going on. I don't think its normal cause it never did it til just recently. And even now, its not constant.. just sometimes. I plan on bringing it in for this... will report back if anything is found.

Same here too. Usually happens after a driving for more than 30 min. I think it's just glad to be home, the world can be a crazy place sometimes...

Since I have owned the car which has not been that long it has always down that when I went to put it in drive. The revs jump up for 10-15 sec and then go back to normal. Never had a problem with getting it in and out of gear though.
I will also bring mine in soon and see what the dealer says.
