Its been on my mind for some time now, with the the Renntech SC being $15K I was thinking about switching to Kleemann, I know i would have to have my Renntech software reflashed to kleemann's. Even by doing that im still way under $15k if i get a Kleemann SC. IKD I just cant bring myself to buy a 15k supercharger. Any thoughts?

There is no denying they both work well.

$15k is a pretty fair chunk of change, imho. Only you can best make that decision. GL

you might entertain selling your car and getting into an E55
Even with the depreciation hit , it may be cheaper

well, if you are willing to spend anywhere near 15K, have you entertained the though of turbo(s)? What about a kennebell or whipple s/c? i doubt they make something for the C55 but im pretty sure they can do some kind of custom application for less than 15K. just thoughts.

I was looking at an E55 online today. I guess I just like my car its small and nimble. I was just thinking about my next mod as i'm just about out of options other than a SC.

FWIW, I would think of cams and/or nitrous as the next logical step - adding the S/C or a custom turbo setup would yield serious gains... but at a significant cost, as you alluded to.

I was thinking the samething. I bet buy selling your car and putting $15K with it you can get a car that comes stock with the power you are looking for. But if you love your car you already no the answer on what to do. S/C it

are flip switch tunes coming out any time soon?

if so- i would wait for one of those. go with a good nitrous setup and nitrous tune. nitrous, when tuned correctly is no worse for an engine than adding a SC or turbo. this would be a lot cheaper, just as fast, and less wear and tear on the engine since the power adder would only be used when you want it rather than all the time like a blower.

that's just me- i've always been a nitrous fan.

is out of the question. I think i'm just going to sell the C55 and maybe get an E55. I have no other reason to sell the car other than i want forced induction. Wonder what a 05 C55 35k miles on it and all the mods listed in sig would go for.

just curious- why is nitrous out (just for the sake of discussion- not trying to talk you into it or anything).

nitrous and a good tune is no more harmfull for the engine than a s/c or turbo with a good tune.

I just want the power at my finger tips. I dont want to have to arm the system, purge it, make sure its ready to go, fill it back up when it gets empty, Im just a nitrous as a last resort kinda guy. you know compliment a killer set up. The only bottle i want is a beer.

Why spend all the time, money or trouble to sell the car your are used to and to get another car to start all over and then say you need more power for that too? You already stated you are already comfortable with the lightness and nimbleness so why jump into a larger and less nimble car? Get a SC and be done with it.

Get a Twin Screw for $7K
You can get a used Kleemann Twin-Screw for $7K like I did. Everybody knows it's better than the new ones and costs half the price. Just ask around on this forum and benzworld. Somebody will PM you in less than a month.

I'm just at a point were i dont know what to do, one minute i want to sell it the next i want to keep it. Maybe i will do some cams. wonder what cams go for these days and how long it would take to install them? CF drive shaft should be along soon so maybe i will wait for that and see whats up.
