just got a quote today for my duel exhaust $250. thats a smokin deal IMO No hiflow cats yet though. Im going to have a custom xpipe made and the stock mufflers opened up to fit larger pipes. The guy is going to look around the shop for some pre-xpipe exhaust opener things and if he can find them we are going to weld them on for use at the drag stip. That might be a first of its kind on a c55. Its to bad i'm headed out of town for a few days or I would have the guy do it tomorrow all 2.5 inch duel pipes. Should be a nice thing to look forward to when i get back from Caili. Pro-muffler in AZ does nice work on the cheap.

Here is a true dual we did for several clients.

It incorporates an X-pipe and adds a very nice "Ferrariesque" sound to 55s.

This is what got me on the exhaust kit in the first place nice work. I'm going to bring this pic to show them. we are going to weld in some exhaust bypass valves for racing. was it hard to run the duels on the same side. It seems to be the only way to go as the sway bar is in the way on the other side. if i can snake another 10hp out of this that would be sweet. I dont have 2end cat or resonator already chopped them out.. So I'm hoping by freeing up the flow i can get another 10hp. Do you think its possible?

Dyno comp did my cats. Pro muffler did my res-delete, I went back to pro muffler as I know they would give me a smoken deal. Wait till you hear a C55 with exaust bypass valves... I bet its doing to sound like dog poop.

I really wish i had the time tomorrow to get it done, but i just dont. so i'm thinking of a wednesday of next week exhaust should be good to go. Someone makes a wireless exhaust cutout as seen on youtube i just have to find them. I havent been this excited about a project, well... in about a week jturkel I'm sure your C32 will be fast enough It would be nice to have some AMG's out there as they tend to be a big draw or alot of people like to talk about them.

another great step by step thread hooley.

i got to stop reading these threads or i will really have no money left in savings.

please keep us updated on which brand you cutouts you are looking at, where you plan to put them, etc.

question. are these electric cutouts element safe? where i live i can OCCASSIONALLY drive through deep puddles of water during the wet season. will these cutouts be ok? from looking at some youtube videos, im thinking these electric cutouts are not the most water proof (the motor and wiring harness).

can you verifiy this one way or another? it seems like there are a few really cheap looking ones and a couple hefty ones.

Most likly Wednesday of next week the exhaust will be done. Its just about the soonest i can do it. As for cut outs I Know nothing about them so I'm trying to learn fast. Baldlanzhpe has some wireless ones i'm looking at. After some thought, mostliky I will have the exhaust installed first. That will give me time to find what cutout is best for my app. When i get them I will have then welded in. Proplem is Who wires them up? Even though they are wireless they still have to be wired. I was watching som you tube vids and man some of them sound amazing. I think people at the track will be saying "WTF" when they hear this benz rip down the strip.
