Alternator gone bad??
When I got home, I checked the vol again (dynometer) and it was 11.8 when the car was on...Even when I rev'd the engine, Vol stayed same. That proves that the system is not charging properly.
Is it possible that some of cable got loose on the way home? I just don't see how alternator on our car can go bad on a 05 model cars. Even my 1999 hyundai never had this issue and still rocking on stock battery at 90,000 miles.. My C55 has about 35k miles now.
Any one else had this issue and share what your local dealer did to resolve this problem.
It’s really hard and expensive to get C55 parts in Korea. So if it’s the alternator, I’m thinking about getting one from the US and ship it over here

So I was reading the owners manual and saw something interesting.. Battery / alternator warning can be triggered if "POLY-V-Belt" is damaged...
I really doubt that is the case for me though..

My mechanic said my alternator was probably working overtime for a long while while I was having problems and made it prematurely fail.
Could be different for you, but just sharing my experience.
Actually, my mech once mentioned about the vol regulator... But once I got the new battery, everything seemed fine
.. I hope its the reg.. Cuz I heard new alternator for our car is very pricy..
Gramma B,
Thank you for your comments.. I'll check that as well
If not a bosch rebuilt with warranty for the C55 is only $250 have it boxed up and posted over.
Inspect the belt, don't jump it via the battery, don't jump it via the underhood post with the key in the ignition.
