Phone in C55

I know this is a silly question, but what is the deal with the phone service in these cars? Can I bluetooth with my Blackberry? Or do I need a specific Mercedes phone to interface? Or do I pay MB for a plan and just make calls like you can with OnStar?

Thanks,

Sam

Just use the bluetooth puck (2 to 300 on ebay) in the MB holder (should be in your center console. Plug the puck in, mate it with your phone, and voila. My Treo 755p even downloads my address book now with the new software.

I guess that makes me special ... In retrospect, I did get lucky on my car. I don't think that there were any options that I didn't end up getting on it. I ended up buying the BT puck used from a lease turn-in. Have been pretty happy although I do have some people who claim that it isn't loud enough on their end.

You can have the part for the BT phone installed at your dealer, but be ready to shell out $1500-2000.

You dont have to use the cradle to mount it. you can buy a used PSE and the Bluethooth puck and a patch cord and thats it. Search my posts and I did pictures on how.
