So I got my greens put in yesterday. The stock filters were filthy. I also got the resonator delete done as well. Car sounds a lot better. A very refined growl now. :p

What's amazing is according to the display, I picked up about 1.5 mpg just by that alone. Ended up mixing it up with a Challenger R/T with a Hemi engine. It was pretty close, but near the higher speeds, my car was pulling. It was empty on the road, so we got up to about 130.

So the next step now will likely be Code 3 pulley, and ECU tune, though I'm thinking of going through Powerchip for it. Sounds like a good next step?

i'd go with LET. They can give you more of a custom tune for the mods on your car, whereas i believe powerchip gives you a generic tune and is more expensive.

What does LET charge? I know Powerchip priced me at $690.

Well they did have a group buy recently and price was $499 I believe
Call or PM AMG-Jerry or ChicagoX to be sure if price was correct and if you can still get in group buy

It was most likely your very dirty OEM filter and the fact you went with a higher flowing aftermarket clean air filter

There would have be NO challenge (no pun intended) with that Challenger if you havd even the LET tune, let alone the Code III pulley and a Code III intake?

Thumbs down My take on PowerChip

I did the PowerChip tune twice! Once with a C3 pulley only. Second time for an extra $100.00 with the C3 intake. Totally not impressed! In fact, I lost power on my second dyno (same dyno) with the C3 intake. I have the dyno printout.

Brandon,
Any group deals on the LET tune anytime? I feel burned out of $700.00 from PowerChip.

Edit;
I emailed PowerChip the dyno results before and after. Never got any reply whatsoever. My understanding is they claim 'money back if not satisfied

Look on dragtimes.com and you will see a whole bunch of L.E.T. //AMG C32 cars in the top-10. That should say something about the L.E.T. tune.

I knew he was lying to me...*sigh* Oh well. I didn't really feel like arguing, though.

Oh, how difficult is it to install spark plugs? I saw a set of 6 Denso Iridium IK20s for $48.95 on eBay. Not sure how far they're spaced. I've heard .035/.35 is the best spacing on here.

Well, first of all, if you install 6 plugs, your car will run like *****. You need 12 (2 per cylinder) for our humble 32's.

Second, if you look at splinter's DIY thread on the plug replacement,
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-plug-r-r.html ,
you will find that it is not for the faint of heart. There are some serious space issues under the hood. The only way I would DIY is of I can coax splinter to come to my house and help me out.

Heh, all right. Thanks for the info.

And please disregard the 6 plug comment. I forgot we use 2 per cylinder. *hides in cave* Just...forget it happened.

so are IK20s the ones to get instead of IK22s or IK16s?
