Op temperature for a C32

So just to make sure, it's known the car suffers from heat soak. So my question is what's the generally accepted operating temperature?

It seems when I'm cruising or accelerating gently, I run about 85-90 C. When I get heavy on the gas, the car goes up to 95.

That sound about right?

Where are you getting those numbers from? An aftermarket gauge, the digital dash readout (not accurate) or the little trick to read coolant temp off the stereo? Just curious.

Digital Dash Readout. Temperature was about 90 outside. Nowadays, I don't see it go over 90.

what temperature readouts are you guys talking about? the running temperature can be obtained by scrolling through one of the menus. it is in degrees celsius. the other temp is the outside temperature and does not require scrolling through the menus. that readout is in fahrenheit.

Could there be a problem w/the readout? I had the car serviced recently before I went on a trip up north, and they said everything checked out properly. The car also got up and down the trip to Northern California with no issue whatsoever.

It's not acting weird, or making strange noises or anything...

i think its fine, just check and make sure your radiator fan is working when idle.

It was during the summer where the temperature was up to 85 degrees on the little screen. Now since its cold outside, it barely climbs up to 80.

I'll try this 'trick' you speak of when I get in the car.
