So I wake up this morning and go to take my dog for a walk, pass my car and see that there is an L shaped crack about 10 inches long on the right side of my rear bumper. I'm almost positive it wasn't there yesterday, so at some point during the day one of the city's wonderful drivers managed to park in such a way as to crack my bumper... I don't even know how much it will cost to replace/fix, just a crappy start to the day basically.
I've done a little searching but can't find anywhere that sells the rear bumper? Could someone point me in the right direction, or is this something I need to go to the dealership for?

Man, too bad it's a C55, I just saw one listed today in my local Craigslist for $100, but it's only got a cutout for one exhaust.
Good luck!

In terms of parking in NYC for new years, most garages run around $10-15 an hour, with some discounts such as early bird, all day etc. If you are coming for the ball drop I recommend booking beforehand and park at least 4 blocks from times square to avoid the NYPD street closures when you are trying to leave.

I feel your pain
You guys know that I help a lot of forum members out on several different models(also annoy sometimes about pricing opinions)And it hurts when one of you are hurting. Can you post a picture of the crack? If it is a closed line crack that you can hold together like a piece of pottery with no pieces missing,it can be mended with the new auto glue and then glazed over and touched up.
Having met hundreds of forum members in person on my travels after getting to know them on the forum,I can only give you that bit of advice and a little consolation.Look at what they did in Brooklyn(I was born in Brooklyn in 1950,when it was a great place to grow up)
Look at what they did to a fellow forum members pride and joy over on benzworld.org

and he had canceled his comp insurance because of his wifes driving habits
After you look at his pictures you will not feel so bad

College Point is north of Flushing, between the Whitestone bridge and LaGuardia. I'll definitely let you know if I see you. I did see a nice CL63 today in my neighborhood but it was limping along on a spare

Re: the 210, my god that was brutal. Judging by how angry I was when I saw my bumper I think I definitely would have killed someone if I came upon my car looking like that.

He
even had to pay the towing company to tow it away

I think the guy from Va was just going up for New Years,so he needs a garage just for the vacation. If he is driving to NYC for the first time I would suggest he parks the car at The hotel and leaves it parked till the day he leaves the city.
You guys tell him how tough New York drivers are on Rookies

Just talked to my friend who owns a body shop, he said that it should be fixable with epoxy without a problem. His estimate was between $200 and 250.
Don't think I'm going to do anything about it until after winter though, knowing my luck I'd get it fixed and the next day it would snow and someone would plow right into the back of me.
