newby c55/e55 question

So I've been thinking. I do know that there are some differences between the c55 and e55 heads. But are there any differences in the blocks? Is the compression and the bore/stroke the same? Are the pistons and rods the same? The reason I'm asking is I had an idea that went through my head. Could you swap the head and supercharger from a e55 and have it bolt up to a c55 block? I know I'm a noob and new to Mercedes, so no flamming please. Thanks.

Huge differences. It would take many thousands of dollars to covert. It is easier to put an E55K engine into the C55 (and that is a massive task) as witnessed here:

Why do you think the E55 heads will help?

the E55 supercharger will fit the C55, you will need to find a way to keep boost lower as compression is higher in a C55. I would say there is no need for the Heads off of an E55.

Is the stock boost level of the e55 safe on the c55 engine? If so, do you think the 469hp that the e55 has standard is acheivable with the charger? What kind of fabrication needs to be done? Is it just a bolt on job? Also, who makes the best software for doing this?

I.m not sure... I do know the E55's compression Ratio is less than the C55' 11.1 C/R. With a high compression car you wont need all the boost that E55 stock has to make power. People boost High compression cars all the time. Its not that I dont think the C55's motor cant handle the boost, I just wonder if the seals can. IF you do a retro-fit SC of another AMG just get a proper tune and a larger pulley and run 6-7psi of boost and you will good to go. Just remember the E55 was built for that S/C the C55 was not. Over boosting is not a goo idea. It can be done and has been done just make sure you are at a safe level. If I'm wrong some one chime in.

to do the job right Basicly you will need, Larger injectors (I think) New throttle body, the wiring harness, Mass Air flow sensor, Heat exchanger, ECU tune. Larger pulley (I think). Obviously, the SC and inter-cooler, and E55 airbox. I'm sure i'm missing stuff, The E55 SC is very heavy. I know i picked one up. So you might also need front suspension for the add 100+ pounds you are going to add. There are other members here that have done this mod and they would know first hand what has to be done. Maybe search "AMG retro fit" and see what threads are out there.
