sometimes it's not the bearing but the plate that's making
some noise. mine has a slight wobble. I ordered some shims
and will install this weekend.
any chance you resolve the backplate wobble?

Let me know if anyone needs them. Any good shop with a press can do it within 1 hour. I had my mechanic do it for free since I was replacing an idler bearing. It turned out that the idler bearing was faulty to begin with, but I did a preventative change @60K not wanting to know when the SC bearing will die on me.

cheers~
any chance you got that spare bearing still?

I've been lazy lately, just got back from 7 day funship in Mexico.
somehow, this Code3 pulley has a slight wobble on the plate because the rivets were not installed properly. The high or low point (depends on where you're looking from)
of the wobble makes that ringing noise and you can hear it loud enough whem you remove the front engine cover.
I have a couple of .010" shims to help give it clearance.
Off to Laguna Seca this weekend.

The supercharger bearing on my C32 AMG is on the way out and getting noisy.
Has anyone got any experience of changing the bearing? Is there anything I need to be aware of and is it an easy thing to change?
I am ordering a replacement NSK bearing.
Thanks for any help & tips!

Had the same problem, my thread has useful links as well.. Go through it carefully and make notes, about hour work with the right tools and some expertise..
