Hey guys,
I'm contemplating swapping out the stock COMMAND NAV (see pic below) in my 05 C55 for a Pioneer F900BT (BlueTooth, iPod ready, touch-screen, etc.). I believe the COMMAND unit fits all W203 C-class models and some CLK models as well (please feel free to correct me!).
I also have a 6 CD changer (haven't decided if I need it for the new unit or can part with it yet).
I just wanted to gauge what I could get for selling the unit. And if any of you knows someone who's interested, please PM!
Hope everyone is doing well and driving safe.![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
Thanks in advance!

i just did exactly what you did.... i got $570 shipped for my comand unit on ebay, and i sold my amplifier and 6disc changer for about 80 bux each.... the pioneer avic units arent compatible with any cd changer, so you will need to sell it as well.
look at the kenwood 5120 before settling on the pioneer avic... the avic is somewhat buggy

UPDATE -- decided to keep it stock
Hey everyone,
thanks for the great response. I've spent about 2 weeks speaking with a few techs as well as fellow MBW members that have swapped out their stock units, and the effects/consequences. I wanted to share what I've discovered through all this:
- there's a solid demand for the stock COMMAND NAV, and if it's in good condition, it can sell for well over $1,000![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
- any non-MB system, i believe, swapped in for the stock unit will render the steering wheel audio buttons useless
- i learned from one member on here that unless i were to get a new amp and wiring for the rear sub, an aftermarket unit would render the stock rear sub useless as well
- aftermarket units, such as the pioneer one i was looking at, will likely get better sound from the stock amp than the stock NAV unit does
- while audio companies such as pioneer sell countless trim kits to match the interior of your car, there's no perfect match, so an aftermarket unit may stand out more than you'd like it to
- aftermarket unit, despite its additional functionality, may net you less in resale (esp if the next buyer prefers everything is stock)
Lastly, I've done alot of driving all over the MD/VA area the past two weeks for random errands, and I had forgotten just how simple and useful my NAV was... it may be a little outdated, but it's easy to use and already looks great with the interior of my car![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Anyways, I wanted to say thanks for all of the feedback, interest, suggestions and help in research. I look forward to discussing other projects with you guys soon!

though i'm tempted every so often to do something with the exhaust... looking for something cost effective that lets the V8 growl but not disturbing the entire neighborhood...
but on the flipside, i do love having a sleeper car, esp sneaking up and burning ppl on the highway! i'm sure you guys can relate
