Some issues with the car.
Hey guys,
I've recently noticed a few issues on the C55, wondering if anyone has similar issues.
1. Hesitation from cold start: seems like the car doesn't want to start up. The start up on my C320 was really quick, so I'm not sure if there's anything wrong with that?
2. Very Hot heated Seats: My drivers side heated seats burn! like seriously. it gets so hot I have to lift my *** up and turn it off.
any clue?

I have 100% had this on my 2002 C32 before. Brought it in.....they did something with the seat module....i don't remember if they replaced it or what they did....i think it was drawing too much current or something. idk.

maybe new spark plugs or battery. you usually need more cranking amps to crank your car in cold weather. if the battery is kinda old then it might be a good time to replace it.

It seems that several members have had starting / cranking issues lately that are not due to the battery or CPS.

I drive it nearly every day, or every other day. Even if I leave it in my garage for a few hours (im sure its still a cold start) it still cranks like its choking on something.

Ive had a similar problem; at cold start it dosent turn over near as fast as it should. I took it into the dealership (AH Mercedes) to have them take a look at it. They said it hasnt threw any codes nor could they see any specific problem that would cause it not to start correctly. Im just keeping an eye on it and if it gets worse they told me to take it back in and they will do a full overhaul.

if there's no codes, it may just be that you need to "reboot" more often...
how regularly do you reset the throttle/system? i find with any little kinks i have, from the amount of heat coming from the vents, to sluggish acceleration, to other funky engine sounds, a period throttle reset helps -- the next engine start afterwards, the engine kinda pauses for a second and then everything seems to sound/function normally...

By throttle reset you mean the "transmission reset"? IE: turn it to the first position, hold the gas, turn off, release gas? If so i do that every other week as well.

I had the same situation where my lower seat heater was just too hot and eventually it stopped working well later I found out it was my seat heater module I say disconnect them both and see results if it fine then start by reconnecting the passenger side then if ok after a day then plug back in the drivers side if ok then my friend you have a new issue but your conditions appears as though your seat module/s are faulty.
thanks
