Big thanks to Evan (cuzinquick)

Evan hooked me up with some Drag Radials, and on Friday I will be trying to beat my personal best of 12.94. I will be racing in Dyno Mode for some nice smoky burnouts and no chance of ESP slowing me down from a 2000rpm launch.

Also another thanks to Josh, (jturkel) for hooking me up with a C32 H/E. I think i'm going to get schooled by college guys on the art of drinking after my runs at the track.

Thats awesome! Evan is a great guy!.....EXCEPT he is a Steelers fan (sorry off topic lol)...Haha.....good luck tomorrow at the drag strip Mike! Hopefully you will lay down an awesome time and get some good runs in at night! What are the expected conditions tomorrow night as far as temp and DA?

I will let you know when we head up to Phoenix....might not be until around 5 so probably won't make it to the strip....and we will see how the drinking goes. lol. Tell Evan I say "hi" though he can probably just read it on this thread lol. Hi Evan.

Yeah let me know that the deal s for tomorrow night I should be done racing at 9:30pm so I can head right out after that if you want. Not sure what the projected DA is but lets hope the rain holds off.

Hey Josh. Keep Hooley from getting any tickets, he loves to hear his car. The rain should stay away and a little cold front is coming. I'm predicting about 1500' DA or better. Hooley will put down a great run tomorrow. Lessons start when the track opens and then he's on his own. I'm taking his keys if he don't get into the 12's. Mike after getting a taste of them hoosiers you will be officially a drag strip junkie. I'll have to tell them to lock the gates.

STEELERS 6 TIME World Champions!!! Yea Baby. Here we go Steelers, Here we go!

I put the slicks on and did a dyno mode burnout today and.... O man!!! both tires (yes both tires) were bellowing smoke. I can wait. My stock wheels weighed in at 50lbs w/tires and the new rims with your Hoosiers were only 37lbs. I will be in the 12's fo-shizzle. And hows a 10hp and 10tq gain on the dyno today. Not to mention Dyno-Comp tossed me 4 free gallons of race fuel for the track.

Wow 10hp and 10 tq, that's insane. They are very light tires. I keep saying the 16" combo is the best way to go. Save the smoke for the track. See you tomorrow.

OJWerks I wish my car was your color. The middle picture in your sig is just sick.

Hooley- You broke the 1st cardinal sin of Hoosier mania. Never, never do a burnout on the road. Maybe on smooth concrete that has been watered down. That street bellowing burnout probably just wore about 5 passes at the track on those tires. It's tempting I know, these tires instantly smoke after the first spin of the tires. I don't even peel out when I'm driving on them, unless I have another pair already on the UPS truck. LOL. My hoosier supplier is having a drop shipment at the NHRA Az nationals later this month. If anybody wants some let me know soon and at least you can save shipping.

I don't daily drive my car, but I leave them on pretty much all the time. I take the car out and run errands and when I race at Firebird I drive on them over there with no problems. I lower them to 15psi race and them air them back up to 35 psi. I wouldn't try it in the rain though. Yesterday I had a cop tailgate me for about a minute then turned off, I mounted mine with the white letters out, so they attract a few officers.

Yes they are more comfortable than the stock 19's for sure.

I run E500 stocks with 255/50R-16 hoosier DOT drag radial. Item 17325 on the hoosier catalog. Don't confuse them with Item 46620 255/50zr-16 those are sport DOT drag radials for road racing and the sidewall is not at soft. That's important when lowering the tire pressure at the track.

I ran a 13.1 at 107 all night long, I dont know whats going on I hooked up and had 60's of 1.90. With street tires I run 13.10 The slicks made my 60 foot much better but did nothing for time.

I tell you what though people were taking pictures on my long smoky burnouts

Bummer, hooleyboy... wanted to see you comfortably in the 12's. Was the DA worse than the time you ran 13.1 on streets? That might explain it... makes a huge difference on N/A motors like yours.
