Installing Xenons

Do you guys know if there are any leveling adjustments that need to be made when installing xenons onto a c32 that has HID from the factory?
Does the auto adjusting deature work? Does the ECU reset when they turn xenon to present?
Also how much would a dealer charge for such a replacement, if I provide the lights?

Thank you in advance!

Im a bit confused by your question. When you say installing xenons to HID do you mean replacing the frosted HID lenses to Bi-xenon lenses?

HID and xenon are essentially the same type of light. Xenon is the light that is produced in the bulb which is a High intensity discharge (HID) lamp.

Ahhh ok that makes sense now!

Well if im not mistaken the OEM HID's are vacuum controlled for the auto adjust. But i know when you put the HID lamps in youll have to have the dealer program the ECU to accept the HID headlights otherwise youll get a warning on your dash.

As far as cost maybe someone else will chime in on that.

Are you replacing the Light housing with Depos or factory... The depos will need to be slightly adjusted.. Very easy... Park to a wall (Make sure your lights are facing it) then there are 2 notches on top of the light housing, One for side ways movement the other for up and down movement... adjust accordingly

you just need to set the car to xenon present. Some dealers do it for free if you have a good relationship with your SA, some charge. You'll need to set it to xenon present because halogens run at 55watts and hids run at 35watts. The stock ecu will think something is wrong with your head lights when it only see 35watts and turn off the head lights.
