Anyone have the Code3 belt wrap kit installed?
I'm looking to do this mod and just wondering who has done it and any feedback you might have. Thanks all-

i was also wondering if the belt wrap kit replaces the idle pulley near the sc pulley. it looks like it does from the pics. I need to replace my idle pulley but i figure i might as get some extra poweer out of it if it replaces it anyways.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

I have it done. It is a very very easy install. It basically eliminates all belt slip by increasing the surface area that the belt comes into contact with. it is good for about another .5lbs of boost or about 7-10 whp. I have not personally dyno'd it, but those are the claims made by Code3 from a dyno. It also seems to shift faster under WOT conditions. Furthermore, the supercharger responds much faster when engaged under WOT.
As far as pulleys that it replaces, the belt wrap kit replaces the upper guide pulley, the middle idler pulley, and adds another pulley where the alternator pulley is. definitely a noticeable difference in feel. 7-10 whp may not make your car much faster on the street, but you can definitely feel a difference when driving.
yes i do!

this thread will be more useful. there is not much mentioned about the wrap kit in that thread.
pics can be seen here:

this picture shows the new wrap of the belt. the upper guide pulley is replaced as is the middle idler pulley. as you can see, the the upper guide pulley bracket is maintained.

great info jurkel. Replacing the stock idler's pulleys with oem costs around $180 anyways, so $200 for new pulleys and a addition 7whp is pretty good deal. I need to save, spent way too much on the car this month.

You might've been thinking of ASP.
Jturkel - thanks for sharing the pics... definitely helps visualize the new set-up; lookin' good!

Newzchpsy has it also. I thought when I spoke to Brandon from C3P that he said it worked also with other pullies like 178,181,185. OP how are the accessories working? I heard thou it's a good mod that is causes more wear and tear on accessories.

agreed. i am thinking about selling my code3 pulley and wrap kit as i am leaning towards switching to the 185. if you are interested, lemme know.
LET makes a 178? i didnt know that.....it is made to run with any 178 because they are all the same size (at least roughly). so i believe the 178 is made my ASP, Evosport, and Renntech. So any of those should work. The wrapkit is helped to reduce belt slip when running a stacked setup of a 178 crank pulley with code3's new midsize s/c pulley (not the one that came out like a while ago).
thanks!

PM me the price on the belt wrap kit and when you can have it available. If my pulley project works out, i'll definately need it.

eh....i havent heard that. i think Jake was telling me it wont work with the 185 because it adds to much stress at some weird angle or something...i dont recollect....it might work on just a 178, but dont quote me on that.

I don't think it would cause significantly increased wear of accessories (i.e. no more than the other 178mm kits available). The larger the CP, the faster (and consequently, more often) it's turning those accessories... if the other pullies are not changed out to larger variants as well.
What I would be curious to know... if it causes any appreciable additional wear to the belt itself. That bend around the S/C pulley is pretty severe - the added benefit of reduced belt slip and increased responsiveness may be traded off with increased belt wear and more frequent replacements (IMHO, not really a big deal, it's an easy change and a $60 part). Time will tell... looks promising, however - nice to see new innovations as they pop up.
