C32 AMG DYNO: 350whp, 359wtq
Well, I finally got around to putting up my dyno chart. My scanner was down and had to find another one to use. March 21st, 2009. Temperature was around 80. Dyno was a dyno dyanamics, taking place at DynoComp. All pulls were on on 91 octane (thats all we have at the pump besides race gas). I think 350whp (yes i know, 349.6, but it rounds up
) and 359wtq is pretty good all considering gas octane, DA, temp, and the dyno, which Hooley tells me is a major heart-breaker.
Mods as seen in sig: Full SL55 intake with K&Ns, Eurocharged 185mm Crank Pulley Kit, Step Colder NGK Iridium IXs, KV85 Magnecor Wires, Eurocharged Dyno Tune, and Resonator Delete.
This shows before and after "tune." I put tune in quotes because I learned that my car actually had a tune on it before LET touched it. I purchased my car in 03 and was never aware I had a tune on it, leading me to believe it was Renntech, being that the car was purchased just down the street from their shop. As you can see, there are decent gains over the old tune with the new tune. I like it! Too bad we don't have 93. I'll throw in a couple gallons of 100 (like Hooley recommended) and perhaps get back on the dyno and see what it puts down. Hooley (mike) claims i can see 15-20whp without retuning, but we will see.
next mods? Eurocharged headers, secondary cat delete, OZ rims (i think, Mike (hooly) get me the price and specs on these please
), and still waiting for someone to do a TB, or else i may just CnC mine at a shop.
oh, and vid of the sound. please ignore my rims/car. it was dirty after the drive up to phx: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mLELW8p1uI

Very solid numbers! I am hoping the Mustang dyno will come in remotely close to that for me. Jake is scaring me with his 327 prediction.lol

I bet your over 350whp or right at it. on a mustang dyno, You got some mods so thats got to be good for something. I'm coming up at the shop record for dyno pulls. we are having a shop party when i get to 300.

thanks man!
something like that. i think thats what Rich at dyno-comp (owner) told me.
i think jake is just trying to scare you. you have all the same mods (except for intake) but you also have the VRP headers, front cats, and deleted secondaries (which deletion plays a bigger role when you get headers). and you're on 93 octane. you'll put down good numbers im sure!
haha....lemme know when the shop party goes down. i'm down....and then off to Four Peaks! lol

thanks! you can get there! Mike (hooleyboy) was right around there before he S/C his car (though that may have been on 95 octane, i dont recall.)
yup. Mike (Hooleyboy) even said my dyno looked almost identical to his when he was dynoing similar numbers with his high octane map before he went S/C

Josh, car looks strong!! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Really great before numbers - but looks like the dyno tune was still able to squeeze out that last bit left on the table. Is the little 2500-3K "bubble" a dyno-related thing, like what was talked about on hooleboy's thread?

yes and yes.
apparently my car already had a renntech tune of some sort when i got the car in 03 and i just never knew about it. Wayne was able to squeeze out some more power for me on the dyno though and fully optimize my car. Thanks Wayne!
And yes, the 2500-3K "bubble" thing is exactly the dyno-related thing that Mike (Hooleyboy) was talking about in his thread

Throw in a couple of gallons of 100 Octane, and you should pick up a few more ponies. The 91 octane blend you folks are saddled with doesn't make for hero numbers on the dyno.

regardless of who is tuning, Your car wouldn't have been pulled off the dyno if it wasn't in the 12's for the most part and not spiking lean. Rich's computer crashed and lost a bunch of data I will see if i can get it.
