off topic: MOVING but any advice would be nice!!
Hey guys i know its not really car related..but im moving from Indiana to LA in a month...so since we are a part of a family...AMG haha was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.. Im moving some furniture...sofa...mattress tv..and also my car.. any advice on what company to use?

fool, just move back home to fullerton/anaheim. why the hell do you need your own place soo close to home? LOL
and look up yellowpages. housing and transportation trasport is two different thing. ask jon what company did he used when he brought over his c55 for that one summer.

i was a carhauler for 14 yrs. high end cars are transported by reliable carriers, and horseless carriage inc. best in the buisness. normal carriers would be das, auto auction, or allied systems. to go cross country you are looking at 600 to 3000 $
i would advise you to closely foto your car the day of pickup with the date on the fotos. stay woith the driver while he inspects the car. then carefully inspect the car upon delivery. enclosed carriers will be more $ than the open carriers

Well i got a quote for enclosed for $1139-from Indiana to Hacienda.
and opened for $820-
still looking around.
Frank: help me keep an eye out for good places to rent ..short term. 6 month.
Prefer something with a 2 car garage.

thats not too bad of a price. i pay $1400 for my 2bd. you can probably find more apt with garages if u look closer to oc like in brea or something. not sure how far you want to drive though.

and registration too. he might need to smog it too if the 335i isn't built to california spec. I dont know if bmw made a 50 state car or just state spec cars. I remember some mazda's and gm cars had california spec cars and non-california spec cars too.

I will be still using the Indiana plate and registration until it expires which is march of 2010.
I was still be considered a student in IU, since im not completely done yet. So technically im visiting! haha
