its sounds great, but it still feels kinda slow. I think the power delivery that these cars have really steals some of the fun.

lol it feels slow? well does it feel faster than before?

if its too slow, maybe its time to get a tune and/or upgrade to a pulley that makes more boost. and a heat exchanger may help keep your temps down. I remember reading a while ago that "apparently" that some of the boost numbers capable of being hit on some of the pulley setups are not possible without a heat exchanger to keep the temps cool enough.

try doing a throttle reset. that may make everything feel better for a little bit.

It does feel faster for sure, just not the kick in *** that I was expecting. I kept looking at the code3 dyno results on there site and thought that 30-40 whp would be really noticeable, but it actually isnt. I really need to run my friends G37 again to see if there is any difference. Guess I just feel a little disappointed. You think a tune would help out? Again I spent time on the code3 site and they claim 22whp on a stock setup, so I should gain a little more with mods right? Im starting to think their numbers arnt exactly that accurate.

hmm...well first off, you need to do a throttle reset if you havent done that:
note: i know it says ECU reset, but its not.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...et-smokes.html

to be honest, i dont know where code3 claims their pulley will give 30-40whp, but it doesnt. from what i remember, the claims were like 20-25whp or something like that before a tune. with a pulley AND tune you would see around 40whp certainly.

with more mods, eh. you already have the code3 intake. maybe with the heat exchanger. i havent seen evidence or proof that it will help you run more boost, but it will definitely help you maintain the levels you are running at if not improve them a little by keeping temps down. basically, helps prevent heat soak

tune will help....probably will add like 15-20 whp

as far as the claims made on the website, you can make almost any number appear with the right conditions: huge fans, cool temps, ice on the blower......who knows?.....why is why I generally look for independent dynos of other members or people not affiliated with the company for more accurate information.

try the throttle reset and see what happens.

I did a throttle reset about a week ago when I first saw that thread, guess it wont hurt to try it again and see if it helps.

The Supra has always been my first love, just always been a little out of my price range. I got supra tattooed on me, just as a daily reminder to shoot for my goal and eventually get one. I got Mercedes tattooed when I bought the C32... lol. Were you able to see the vids?

hmm...you're right. the numbers are there. i dont know if any independent dynos have ever shown those numbers to be completely honest. bummer.....

its your call i guess. you will see more power with a tune, but if you find this slow after your throttle reset (and give it a day or two, sometimes it might take a little to adapt), then maybe you do need to upgrade pulleys or something.....keep us posted

saw 'em. nice vids. that last vid looked a little bumpy lol

sounds great! that s/c whine is sick!

as far as power, it sounds to be accelerating at what i would anticipate would be on par with your mods. only one way to tell though. i guess go find that G37.

after each of my mods, instead of getting on a dyno, i do something similar to you and race my good buddy's LS1 camaro and see how much i pick up. we record of course. nice little runs from say 40-140 lol.....in mexico of course

Yeah the car sounds really nice!! I love the whine I get from it now
Unfortunately my buddy with the G37 doesn't get back in town until next weekend, but I have a video of when i ran it back when I was stock so I should have a good idea of what I gained once we run again.

The front suspension is a little to low and the car is kinda bouncy as you can see from the vid. Correcting that is on my to do list.

They were a pretty good run back when I was stock, and I have a couple vids of our runs so I can have something to compare it with.

while doing your mods you may want to contact tighed1 on the crossfire forum. he has a larger heat exchanger that will drop your iat temps considerably. i installed 1 in my slk32 and noticed a dramatic difference in temps. i dont see why 1 wouldnt fit in a c32.
so good luck with the mods! my c3 pulley should get to me in a week or so

tighed1 is based in az so a trip down to test fit wouldnt be hard for you at all. as a side note vegas is were i found my slk32 ! flew in bought it and drove it home 1880 miles. talk about a gamble! worth every penny!

+1

Mike (Hooleyboy) also has a heat exchanger (an extra one, though he is already running two) that he may not want and he is also located in AZ (near me lol). You can contact him if you want too and see if he wants to sell. really nice guy
