Connector for IC Pump

I will be replacing the pump this week but was wondering about the connector. The ebay pumps look like you need to go get a connector

I saw this http://www.siliconeintakes.com/produ...oducts_id=1001

Is that the way to go??

That is the way to go if you want the cleanest and most secure connection without using the OEM pump.

I'd go with the Johnson CM30. My Ford Lightning bosch pump went out just as quickly as the OEMs.

either the ford lightning pump or the cm30 will need a electrical connector. i just tore the old pump apart and reused the oem connector

my assumption then is that I would need to cut off the original plug, and then splice the wires onto the plug wires in the pic from the link..seems pretty straight forward and a better option than soldering

Yeah, that's what I did and it worked perfect and was very simple. I use the connector from the Bosch pump and just spliced it to the wires with butt connectors. Easy peezy...

im a little more **** than most! i tore the old pump apart as you can see the original pump connector goes inside the housing. using a solder gun i removed the oem plug and capacitor and wired it to the cm30 with solder and heat shrink tape. this provides a oem connection with a watertite seal and a nice look

Just ordered,, better I think than the ebay once since I would need to get the connector from ford anyway. Total with 2 day shipping was 125 bucks.

Cant wait to install. I have only had the car 2 weeks so I dont know what it is like yet to drive without this hinderence
