In the first pic, are the brown canisters the cats? Looks like it runs down, then back up around the frame? then out the sides?!

Cool none-the-less

the cost for the service is about 8,000 and that is with out spark plugs with spark plugs it is about 16,000. the rotors are carbon the rotoes are about 25,000 each i can get more photos if you will like. the car sucks to work on but fun to test drive after working on it

Amazing sometimes the amount of lazy money people have at their discretion!
I do envy your talents though!

it is 25,000 for only the front rotors no brake pads. it is 5,000 just for the front and rear brake pads. this car is a cool car but a ***** to work no air tools at all only hand tools. the car has 2 fuel filters at about 700 each. on SLR 06 and up you have to replace the frnt sway bar bushings at about 1,300 for a set. at the end the service was about 43 hr and 10,000. i have about 8 SLR that come in all of them but one say just call when it done but that one SLR owner is a REAL pain my *** it has about 12,000 miles and every time i service t hes asks me why do we need to replace the air filter why do we have to replace the drive belts why do we have to replace the under paneling bolts why do we have to replace the wheel lug nuts. all i say is that YOUR CAR IS A RACE CAR with leather seats and a radio. he can go pound on sand. when i went to school for the SLR thay tell us that it can leave the shop in the morning and be doing 200mph in the after lunch

Is it true that you need to level the lift - or you risk the chance of totaling the SLR by bending it?

no free brakes for this car. the rotors sood last the life of the car. if you track the car the rotors will start to flake off on the out side but you can have a big chunk (17mm) and the rotor can still be used. hear is some more photos. this rotor is trash it was 1 year on the track heavy use very heavy use.
yes the lift is made for the slr and only this lift can be used. the arms have screws that screws into the body if you use a non slr life it will fall off.

Very cool info and pics - thanks for sharing! The SLR really is a whole 'nother ballgame; amazing. Have you guys started training on the SLS yet?
