Plugs/Wires question

I know this topic is very old, but after search there are many opinions,
what are the best plugs for my modes: 185mm pulley, tune, 55 y pipe and K&N, no cats, PS, HE, and it's worth to buy the Magnecore Wires or not?
Thanks.

With your mods, it's suggested to go with a colder plug such as an IK22, I've also heard that it's best to gap at around .034. And if you have extra $$$, might as well do the wire at the same time. Probably won't make a huge difference, but people DO write that things runs smoother when they replace both. I used to have a Code3 Pulley and just got IK20's.

go with 8.5mm Magnecor Wires
for plugs, either a step colder with the IK22's or the step colder version of the NGK IXs (i forget what the number is for that one)
gap them at .034

only the 55 splitter? you should consider completing the 55 setup with the respective airboxes and hoses, as if i remember correctly, the 55 splitter by itself won't do much. just an IMO.

Thanks guys, i am running now with the ik20's but I think i want to go one step colder with KV85 and i'll see the difference.
Just because i love the view of the OEM engine cover I didn't go with the 55 airboxes plus here in Lebanon it's hard to get them.
Is there a noticible difference with the 55 air boxes?
Do i need a retune if I will go with them?

you can do a retune if you would like to really squeeze out all the power possible, but you probably wont see much with the retune. i think the boxes are the part that make the most gain, as they are 25% larger. i think perhaps 10whp with the boxes (**i think**). i just recall seeing in the past that the splitter was worthless without more airflow going to it (the whole setup, 55boxes, 55hoses, along with the 55splitter)

and i think you can make the SL55 cover fit (with minor trimming) if you want

idk what the first one is, but the second number you listed looks like the NGX IXs (or might be the same) i purchased. just make sure it is one heat range colder before purchasing if thats you want. its either bkr 6 or bkr7 i think

Thanks.
and as an FYI... I just did this and I found , shockinly, that the local Autozone has the best price on the NGK iridiums, just may need to hit up 2 stores to get 12 in stock like I did. The best price on the magnacore wires by far is right here .

I also just posted my own step by step for the change of the plugs.. just search my posts
