E55 AMG Black on Carlsson 1/6 EVO
03 C32 purchased Sept 03 with roughly 100 plus miles going on 6 years 69k miles. Still under extended warranty.
Replaced IC pump at 40K
Minor sensor that made the check engine light go on.
Replaced cup holder
AC issue small leak
Convenience sensor replaced
Recently re-flashed the software with Singh Autosport ECU tune, it seems a little quicker than before. The dealership updated my software and erased my old tune...

167,000 mile C32
Replaced the following so far. I've lost interest in the car, and MB lost a long time customer... Let me know if you want a C32 cheap.
Supercharger
2 sets of heated seats
Seat computers (driver and passenger)
Steering colum adjustment acuator
All doors are rusted through. Looks horrible.
Control arms
"Sam" computer
Crank position sensor
Three or sets of brakes
8 sets of tires
Sunroof control unit
A brake switch for the BAS system
A transmission sensor that would send the car into limp-home mode on cold days
And a lot of stuff I can't recall
The car really is not reliable or well engineered.

Mine has 77k n counting, runs strong ! ^^ stef64 did you check the history of your c32 before buying it ? things like Factory records? service records? very crucial when buying a used AMG.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
i think some of the problems was caused by trying to fix the other problem. for example he had a problem with his seat control modules. it probably drained his battery dead and he probably jumped the car. but its known if you jump the car too much you can blow your rear sam.
i think the rust issue might be his location. he's probably located somewhere in the rust belt where they use a lot of salt. but in his defense the paint job on the w203 do suck...the quality was worst then my 04 civic.
The paint chips really easily for a premium car. It almost seem like they stopped short a few coats to save a few cents.

Nah, I am not buying any of it, Vic's was abuse, pure and simple
I don't know, the paint job on my 04 is actually not too bad and my ML 55 has a real nice paint job. I just checked the inside qtrs and underneath the
car and much of it is galvanized, so perhaps the older C32s suffered this rust problem. Rust can be as much as a maintenance issue as a build quality issue. I've seen older Honda Accords (notorious for rear wheel well rust) in Chicago in beautiful shape that were probably washed weekly in the winter to avoid the rust issues. You can't let any car sit for weeks at a time with salt caked on it or in the wheel wells. Its that corrosive. I wash at least once a week, even if its thru the local Shell Gas station wash.

Silver 02 C32 & White 05 CLK500
Mine is an 02 C32 with around 68k on the clock. Overall it has been a great car, but very expensive to maintain and fix. BTW, I am the fourth owner of the car. Under warranty, I had the following things replaced:
radiator,
torque converter,
transmission,
tcu,
crank pulley,
supercharger pulley and bearing, i
dler pulley,
changed gaskets, i
ntercooler pump(still the stock one),
seat heaters(both passenger and driver's side),
All those and other little things that I cannot recall at this moment. I still have some problems on it that need fixing. I still have to change my spark plugs and wires(got the original ones) and have to get a gear adaptation from mb because my car does not downshift all the time and feels sluggish.

Mercedes-AMG E63S
Mine's an '02 C32 that turned over 100k last week.
The only thing I've had to do other than maintenance was to replace the clutch bearings for the supercharger about a year ago. My mechanic tells me it's time for new plugs, which I plan to get done next week.
