Kind of. Its the "box" behind the cats, before the muffler. Luckily it's a pretty easy job, because your exhaust shop doesn't sound to knowledgeable. If you google image search c32 resonator delete, you'll find some diagrams that other people have posted.

If my muffler shopped called my resonator a "box on the exhaust", i'd leave and never come back

a resonator is a very common part on a car. they should know what at least the term is or what it should look like.

Muffler guy was obviously having a problem translating English to English.

I've actually come across it a few times where some shops will refer to it as a "second" or "secondary muffler" or "silencer"

Yea that would bother me too. The exhaust place I took it to knew what it was and I didn't see any kind of cars there besides big trucks and American cars.

Question for those who have done the resonator delete - everyone says it's "awesome". But how much interior drone do you get when you're at a cruising speed? (70 mph cruise control?) I had this before in another car (the drone) and ended up having to switch out the muffler AGAIN for a longer one.

i made a thread a while back asking about cutouts. no c32 has them. i would suspect you may lose some power down end but pick it up top end. i believe an srt6 with e-cutouts pickup up 1mph in the 1/4, but they dont have the exact same exhaust system.

as far as soundwise, search the srt6 forum for info and sound clips

I didn't care for it and put my resonator back. Fortunately, it cost me only $60 total to remove and re-install. It just did not sound like a refined Mercedes (which, I appreciate, need not be quiet). To my mind, the sound screamed "hey, look at me".

But, it's of course a matter of personal taste . . .

Interior drone to me is a huge annoyance, not a turn on

Found this on yt, but it's for a 55. In case anyone was curious though, and maybe someone can compare with a 32?
