Anyone know? Havent heard from him in a while, Last I seen he switched his his user name to AMGCL65. Just wondering how is 5.7 build is coming. The last known deadline I heard has passed, so I guess I'm just looking for updates.

I would normally mention that a hypothesis like bolded above is a bit reckless - but the sad fact is, you're probably right. Seems that whenever any (and every) of the smaller tuners have something go awry (which, IMHO, is practically inevitable, if they're in business long enough)... they'll do anything and everything possible to keep the info off of the forums. A shame, really... but it is what it is.

His whole saga was a joke, as were the claims of what the car would/could do. It would have been nice to see it running and have some of Vadims claims substantiated (or not) but I'm almost glad we won't have any more "My car will be done in a week" threads that go on for months on end with excuse after excuse....

With the sale going on with the Kleemann blower, the change of user names, (Didnt know you could do that) the plot thickens for sure. IMO, when you sell the "meat and potatos" of your project (kleemann SC) something for sure is up. Good or bad, moving on or not, something happened to this project that will never be shared with MBW folks.
Sure the purchase of a CL65 can change many of peoples outlooks on tuning priorities, but when you have that kind of loot invested.. How can you just stop and say "F it I'm moving on."
I know Robert likes to post at night so.. I guess its a wait and see what he has to say to these rumors.
If It makes any one feel better I'm doing a cam swap next week I think, I will have some more dyno numbers for ya.

It’s too bad we’ll never witness his project’s fruition.
Could have been a stunningly potent C, along the lines of hooleyboy and alumar.
Nice you’re able to pick up the pieces and move on in fine style, AMGSC.
Heard that the M275 TT can unleash its relatively conservative factory tune with a proper ECU upgrade.

well I remember him stating that insurance was going to pay for it or something I do not want to investigate it, but someone could probably dig up what he said. I just remember he didn't want to go into detail about it.

Bit of a time line on the fire leading up to noticing engine damage
Project not finished, Deadline set for Vadim to finish the project and something about docking $100 per day if project not finished by some date in June, Poll asked if he should file suit if it cant be finished.
July, around the 4th A firework landed on the Powerchips building. Also home to Vadim's shop.
The C55's engine (well after the fire) was installed and we all were told it was running. Vadim would be driving it home to get some miles on it. As we were told.
Then after countless missed deadlines. It was brought to us that they discovered internal engine damage. Something like cylinder gouges or something. insurance was now going to cover the replacement of the enigne.
55 motor was being converted to a 5.7L. Another deadline was given for late Sept finish.
AMGSC, buys CL65. Then finds a way to chance his user name to AMGCL65. Soon after his beloved Kleemann SC, is now listed on MBW for sale.
With all this stuff slightly coming out I think its safe to say The project is over, and its not going to happen. Is this true? Not sure.

Rumors about my death greatly exaggerated
Guys,
I'm still here. I decided to put a brand new E55 engine instead of swapping a used E55 and unpredictable engine in it. I'm just trying to figure out if the Kleemann or OEM Blower would be better. They are exactly the same size and dimensions but I'm leaning on keeping the Kleemann.
Everything from the block to the pistons and rods are brand new from AMG Germany but assembled here at a dedicated MB engine builder. It will have some custom reinforced internals to handle twin-turbos down the road so the Kleemann and OEM blower will both have to go soon. Engine should be ready to drop in by Friday of next week latest and final tuning done. It will need some time to break in a brand new engine but the strenghtened internals should allow me to push 25+psi either through SC or TT.
btw... Anybody interested in a C55 block for $500? You can bore it out to 5.7 like Havoc. I thought about doing it but decided to go with a brand new engine so I don't need the block. I also still have the Ross Pistons and repolished rods that I will throw in for free with the purchase of the block.

Do you want to pick it up or me to ship it? It's best that you see it in person before making a decision. I think you can go all the way out to a 6.1 like Brabus did with this block as long as it is sleeved properly.

If its useable/salvageable I will take it. I have many logistic companies that can pick the thing up in SoCal. Maybe find a pallet and strap it down and we are good.

PM answered and yes it's sold when I get payment. You are even more daring than I am but then again you have DynoComp's backing and more car knowledge than I. I spoke to Brabus here in Newport Beach and they told me that they bored this C55 block out to 6.1 litres but did not apply forced induction to it. You may need really strong but thin sleeves to achieve a first in having a 6.1 C55 running full boost. If you do that, I'm sure you will own the overall MB dragtime record for sure. So far, I have not heard anything about that TT63 project so Good Luck.
