C32 bigger throttle body
#2
check the product number on your TB. i am under the impression that some C32s actually have different sized TBs (according to Vadim). some apparently start with 112 and some with 113, with the later being a 76mm TB and the prior being a 74 or 72 i think.

C32 AMG
Didn't Vadim make a larger TB for one of his project 32s back in the day? Perhaps it was Brandon at C3P? A larger TB is something I've been waiting a long time for and keep hearing rumors it's in the works...

I think Vadim originally had the 112 TB and uggraded to the 113 because apparently not all the TBs on C32s are the same size.
I dont think Brandon at C3P upgraded the TB. I remember his car was H/E, pulley, beltwrap, and tune.....and the car he "worked on" (Airfrcd's) i dont believe had a different TB on it....just a very unique/different intake that required cutting into the firewall and that was routed into the battery/cabin filter compartment.

my guess on a larger thottle body is -2 to +2 HP....I just haven't seen many cars that do...
Is our TB the same as other base C-CLass?
Anyone ever drive a car where this was effective for them (not just C32)? Curious....I just know that vendors always claim xx horse, but I've yet to see it (or any) on other cars anyway...usually the stock T/B flows plenty enough...I've seen loss after installing two on my own Cobra.

The C32 AMG TBs (apparently in some C32s) is the same size as it is in the M113ks like the E55. Some are already apparently while others are either 72 or 74 (this can be apparently confirmed by product number, with the 113 being for a 76mm TB) However, apparently some C32s have a smaller size TB. Lemme find the link.
Jake, any chance this new one coming out for the E class (which i would imagine is bigger than that on the C32 at 76mm) will fit on the C32?
edit: link, though not the one i was looking for: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...polish-tb.html

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
the c32 throttle body uses the 113 part number. There's a new 112S part number but the old part number still works. The C32 one is a 74mm and the 112 is a 68 or 64mm.
Your going to need the throttle body and the housing that attaches to the throttle body. I believe evo sport use to sells one with the 80mm throttle body, the 80mm housing, gaskets, but it was $2k.

The new part is A1121410325 and was used in the M112.961 only.

Vadim put a larger TB on my C32 just recently. I believe it came off of an SL55...
The car is making amazing power and has been very reliable.
Oh yeah, OT, I just got my new StopTech 355mm slotted rotors tonight... I can't wait to put these puppies on there!!!!

with engine 113.995 the most recent TB is 113 140 01 04
with engine 113.992 until end '02 the TB is 113 141 05 25
starting from '03 the TB is 113 141 06 25
can't find any references concerning the size though ...

My SRT6 had 74mm, I bored mine to 77mm which is the largest you can go on the throttle body itself. Also any throttle body larger and you will have to modify the supercharger tail housing

how about the last mod you would recommend?
can we check to see if the adapter plate will fit on a C32 for an 80mm? That would be a nice size. i know a couple others and I are basically out of performance mods

Out Of Control!!
It's pretty easy to get a bigger TB to work and it does make good power on supercharged cars. You just need to port the sc inlet, have an adapter made and welded to the inlet and then bolt on the bigger TB.

Perhaps because it's info some vendors would prefer be kept quiet?
