Maybe ask if any local mbworld member would be willing to go down with you when you pick your car up. More eyes the better.

I'm not a n00b to the modified car scene. I've dealt with numerous tuners in the past and all of them have their own stories. There are "premiums" tied to certain tuning shops and certain vehicle brand names alike. The "Mercedes" name fetches a certain premium...I understand. In terms of tuning, I've paid between $600 and $1200 for tuning from industry leading shops before. These tunes start with a car that will barely idle and pushed off a trailer, to a 1000hp dyno chart at the end. The prices you quoted are an insult and the company and individuals that quoted you these prices should be ashamed of themselves. There are capable and extremely talented and competent tuners that would kill for business in these tough economic times. To have a shop that gouges their customers just because they have name recognition is an insult to the industry.

Ship your car to Arizona immediately. DO NOT SECOND GUESS IT FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER!!!

Allow MBH motorsports to remove that worthless fuel pressure regulator and replaced your file with a custom tune.
I assume you've got the right injectors, if not Hooleyboy can get you the ones you need to get your car dialed in.

I just spoke with Rich the owner of DC and he think tuning will be easier on your car than mine because of the low compression. Plus if you come out here and when its finished. I wont be bitter when you beat my records.

Keep your chin up, things are about to get better.

Yes I have the Bosch E55 injectors but the shop can't seem to find them anymore after I asked for them tonight. F*c those cost me $150+ each. They can't find my spare set of Denso IK22s either. The nightmare is just starting.

Despite the current condition your car is in, get it out of there ASAP. If they refuse to release it for whatever reason, get your title and the authorities involved.

Robert, you have to do this.

Thats lame!

with E55 injectors you will be good to go, none of this boost a pump or fuel reg crap. Strangely enough tons of cars come in with them. Mostly cars that need total remapped tunes from other shops failure to do something right. This is daily stuff here.

Post what... excusses and a bucket full of BS???
They had more than enough time to finish this project.
Vadim blew it royally and I highly doubt he would have the ***** to step foot in this mess of a thread.

How much time does a shop need to install a new block, supercharger, and custom tune? 10 months?
Give me a break.

Hooleyboy will have your car done and home for Thanksgiving.

That's probably a "ghost" website where they offer the ghost tunes. They are quoting me a live human tune and the high price is to cover the cost of sending an auditor from HQ to make sure the tune is authorized and Corporate is paid. j/k!

The weather is perfect, once they have it ready we can hit the track the following weekend to get you some practice runs before famoso. Learn some launch techniques, and maybe they will do some track side tuning. Hope to see you out here.

No promises on that, haven't even seen the car and I'm sure the box of parts that goes with it. There is one thing I will promise and that fair and honest service. Not to mention being treated like a customer should. Also promise NO BS!!

I just go off the phone with Rich, the owner. He says to "bring it on in."

What pisses me off most!

Bottom line is I felt lied to and cheated all along for the past 2 years.

I was told the car was custom-tuned but I could not mention PC due to something about Wayne reading this forum.

I thought I had one of those ghost tunes that JB from PC told me about. Now I think that they either took my money and never tuned the car OR are afraid that Wayne would find out they custom tuned my car on the low low and must now clear all tuning with Wayne before retunning it.

Wayne's pricing based on what I am reading now seems vindictive and vengeful to an customer who is now left with an incomplete project and no car to drive after paying off the full-balance of over $35K to PC/FD's shop since June.

I don't think Wayne knows about half of the custom tunes PC does. I have placed a stop payment on my PC tune.

Last post for tonight.

Thanks Turk ^.

I want to make one last statement before I go to bed since I know I may have stirred up some trouble and I want to sleep in good conscience.

I am not rich, I make a modest living, live in a modest home in a modest neighborhood. I spend irrational amounts of my hard-earned money on a new passion which is modding cars but that should not make me a target because of my lack of automotive physics and engineering. My wife does not even want to listen to a word out of my mouth when I try to explain what's up with my car and why it has not been seen or driven for close to a year.

I am not trying to put people out of business or tarnish their reputations. In fact I've trying to protect them even though they caused severe losses to me. I have compassion for those down on their luck but there is a limit to my patience.

I just want my car back and I'm ready to move on. I sometimes sound like I'm bragging because I'm so excited about breaking new ground so I apologize to all who felt that way. I think I'll spend more time with my online sportsbook than modding my car after all the dust all settles.

I think most of us had known for a while the project wouldn't get done. Its not your fault. You held up your end of the deal. Its to bad it wasn't held up on the other end. These sorts of topics pass though the Mbworld underground like wild fire.

I know what its like to get excited about a project. Even the day you get your car back, its exciting. You must have felt that when you first SC'd your car.

You need to smooth over your wife, As now its not about a car its about $30k+. Thats alot of money. So family first. If it makes you feel any better my girl wont hear any car talk too.

We will get this thing done and done right. It will make you and your wife happy so you can get on to enjoying your Mercedes.

Call Dyno-Comp in the morning

Where is AMGSC located and where is the car? Maybe someone can go with him to get the car! This is so pathetic I can't stand it! We should almost all fly to where ever he is and all go with him! This pisses me off so bad! We need a serious ban!

Wasn't there a seperate thread about Vadim owing members a ton of money? My guess is the $10,000 was needed to make a partial dent in his debts. Its time to call the cops on this shop for theft, fraud, ponzi scheme, etc.

Good luck.
