Resonator removal help

I was going to remove my resonator myself in the very near future and wanted to do it properly. I need to know what to get and who or where to get it from. Thanks

I would take your C32 to a muffler shop. In order to replace the resonator you need to have access to a lift, a Saz-all and a welder. Items usually not found in most garages.

Muffler shop can do the job in about an hour. You will need to locate an approximatelly 2.5 ft. long 3'' diameter piece of stainless steel pipe to use as resonator replacement. Muffler shop might have it, but they ususally only stock aluminized steel. Good Luck.

I have the the saz-all and welders, and access to a lift so we can do it. My father will actually do it for me, he does stuff like this all the time, He owns a Busch car. I just dont trust a lil muffler shop with a car this expensive. Thanks for your help!

also.....do you know when the headers will be available because they are the only reason I am removing my resonator?

Wow, it is great to have a dad with such credentials and tool access ;-)

If you can wait about 3-4 weeks, the headers will come with a stainless steel bypass pipe for resonator.

Just cruising, there is no sound difference. At WOT or near it, there is a much nicer and sportier grumble to the car. A definite good mod, that might cost your car a bit of power (insignificant!)

It should increase it, I look in the AMG (Sebring btw) resinator and could see where air could lag..
This is my getto conclusion..
If it sounds faster, It must be faster..LOL
