Adjustable Camber Arm installation question

I've picked up a set of adjustable camber arms for the c55 but I dont have the right tool for the job.

What i'm looking for specifically is the tool to remove the bolt that connects the camber strut to the wheel carrier.

I dont need the bolt, but the part number is A 002 990 28 12

I've tried the local mercedes dealerships, the local certified repair facilities and i checked with eurocharged, napa, and advanced auto parts. Nobody seems to be able to help so far.

Attached is the parts diagram, the item number is 210.

any help will be very apprecieated!
TIA

Try going to Auto Zone and they usually have a pack of 3 twelve point end wrenches. They are sized at 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm. The 12mm, 12 point end wrench is the one which will fit the bolt.

Jeff

are you talking about a normal 12mm wrench? or something different, i just picked up a 12mm 12 point serrated wrench (more or less a 12mm 12 pt torx bit)

I'm pretty sure that bolt has an external torx bolt head. If so you can get some cheap sockets from Harbor Freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=95395 or go to Sears, Autozone, etc. if there aren't any Harbor Freights near you.

On my vehicle this bolt does not have an external bolt head.

I'm going to pick one of these up tomorrow

i think its a 10mm bit, the 12mm serrated wrench looks too big. i wont have a chance to try it till it dries up a bit here. its been raining for 2 days now.

Ok, then it is probably a socket head cap screw with an internal torx. The link you posted should work then if it is.

double check, you might need to get a 12 point one, the one you posted in your link from sears is just a normal 6 point torx

a lot of suspension from MB uses 12 point inverted torx bolts for arms
