Evosport headers installed

I bought frankw's evosport equal length headers, and all I can say is what a major PITA these are to install. Took better part of 3 afternoons to install. A few of the stock nuts/studs rounded off so I had to cut them and replace them. Had to unbolt the motor mounts and steering rack/steering shaft and jack up the engine to get them into place.

Overall though definitely worth it. Power feels amazing through-out the rpm range, down low there is tons of torque and it pulls hard all the way to redline.

Hoping to make it to the Eurocharged tune day in SF to get tuned and to see what kind of numbers it puts out. Other mods are the code3 pulley, intake, heatexchanger, cm30 pump.

I do have the resonator deleted as well, looking into removing the secondary cats. I did take a recording with straight headers, thing sounds like a monster.

now you know why I didn't feel like reinstalling it even if the LET header made less power. LOL... enjoy the headers

Wow, that sounds BA! A friend of mine keeps asking me why I don't install headers myself since I do pretty much everything else; I'm going to show him this thread.

I can't believe I missed out on these. I saw them, but didn't realize they were for the c32 as well. I should have known they were because frank was selling them. I want headers now.

I think that sound clip was only headers and not with the whole exhaust system hooked up.

Yes that sound clip was open headers, before I hooked up the rest of the system. I couldn't resist firing it up once with open headers. As far as sound goes with the rest of the system connected, it has a slightly throatier/deeper sound. I still wish it was a bit louder, so the secondary cats are coming off next.

the headers look really close to the heat shields. will the engine rocking side to side affect the mounts? btw it sounds brutal!! i love it

Interior sound clip

Here is a sound clip with the headers installed. The only other exhaust mod is the resonator has been removed. The was taken at the drag strip, so there is a small burnout, then running wide open 1-4 gears shutting down at about 110mph. (ignore the pops and buzzing, I was using my iphone and it was sitting next to the shifter)
