Thumbs up ODPS installed overseas.

Thanks for Evosport's delievery.
Well written manual & precisely parts packed.

About the installation, here is my observation
(1) I have stainless engine bay underhood (option of W203)
the mechanic cut a hole to pass the pipe connect to the
bottom of windshield wash reservoir.
the plastic standard underhood maybe a little easier.
(2) We use coolant instead of water here.
I'll hand made one to keep the windshield wash function.
which is water only.
(3) I removed the heater to facilitate the installation.
& no problem here in Taiwan.
How's that in the states ? do u keep it anyway ?

I can "feel" the boost up .......

I will like too see...

Your CLK50K kills your new mod C32 again. :P

By the way, Shine, do you know the person who got into accident few days back with his GF in his Lotus V8TT in Taiwan? There maybe less than 10 Lotus have been imported to TW. The engine seems to be perfectly fine but the front & Roof was pretty much GONE.

Thanks guys !
I know that accident by TV, a Lotus elise crashed
Kids always did that before they're familiar w the BORROWED car.
The owner lost a friend & a Lotus both !!
He's guilty, IMO.

Back to the status update
(1) The 2nd C32AMG will take pics of installation.
I'm the pilot & 8 hours took to finish it. :p
(2) Daimler Mercedes chief mechanic take care the installation.
He's in charge of Kleemann upgrade (> 50 cars) & conduct Brabus SL55 K8 upgrade,an expert of MB vehicle tunning.
there're three more to go ODPS here in Taiwan soon.
(3) I read 100 C !! coolant temp after hard driving in mountains
u know,it's less cooling effect than highway flying.
(sorry to use C instead of F)
Is that high temp normal ?
Do u know the reasonable range of coolant temp ?

CLK50K has never over heat to 92 C whatever hard driving it.
We'll reset the trigger temp of cooling fan as a result.

Shine: Make sure your mechanic has refilled coolant overflow. That is the only thing I can think of why your coolant temp might be high. We have not had any cooling problems.

Vadim :
Both reservoir of engine & bottle for I/C are filled coolant correctly.
Do u remove the heater of windshield wash bottle ?

Shine: Yes you can disconnect the heater.

As far cooling, make sure your mechanic has bled the cooling system.

Few upset news from members in the states.

Missing pulleys or installation guide ?
I'm wondering anyone out there are trying to "copy" your product
just my guess, hope you can clarify the issue.

We paid for Evosport's R&D & times of test .... for knowledge.
They should not be copied EXACTLY elsewhere by cheaper price.

p.s Glad to know the missing pulleys has been post shipped.

My mechanic has some questions regarding the connection of the hoses.
The IC coolant reservoir (not the windshield reservoir) has 2 connections (your pict 1 in the manual). Standing in front of the car, one connection is in the front and the other one goes out to the right. According to your manual the front connection gets detached and the hose is closed using the male and female plug. This hose however leads to the IC core where it also gets disconnected and further leads to the return circuit where it also gets disconnected. It seems like you can take out the hose completely and there is no point closing it if you are going to take this hose out completely.

Second question. Again the IC reservoir has a connection on its right side : what is it used for ?

My mechanic also has questions about putting wind shield washer in the cooling system. Since there is some cleaner in the weather he thinks it might start to 'foam' when it gets heated and create air bubles in the cooling pipes.

Another advice from My mechanic about the heat problem.

Reset minus 5 degree C cool fan trigger temp than factory setting
He did that for Kleemann cars as standard.

1. Two of us read coolant 100C after installation.
-5 C fan startup, any comment ?
2. All of us miss #5 pulley, hope to receive it soon.

Status update
(1) Replace the stock filter with BMC filter, the softer frame
seal better than hard framed K&N filter.
(2) Reset the fan -5 C start, the coolant temp reading range
80~90 C, much cooler than factory setup around 95~102 C.
(3) Set feul stage-II 10% richer than standard
Go for test run
I can feel stage-II do response a little better in torque !
(4) Hand made a windshield washer bottle, filled w/water
hook it up above the ODPS S/C cooling bottle.

Two of us here have installed ODPS, two more to go.
All of us are waiting #5 pulley, they're on the way.

Shine: Sorry about #5 pulley. My wife went into labor on the same day and the shipper was not aware what goes into ODPS set. #5 is on the way to you next day FedEx.

Bverotti: We leave the hose in the car in case you want to take it back to stock.

I am not sure about your second question. Can you e-mail me a picture? Thanks.

I notice improvement in low rpm torque, 1500~2000 rpm
plenty of torque burst out at very lower rpm, that's the
feeling I enjoy.
I'm very happy to cruise the C32 w/ODPS in highway, effortless
accel by its stronger torque than before.
It's now a step closer to a powerful V8 cruiser

Yes ! We're highly interested in V6 headers,too.........
The dealer import a few W203/V6 headers from Supersprint, I'd like to reference headers from Evosport.

Supersprint does not currently offer any headers for the V6 w203 models. They do offer them for the C200k, but you have a slightly bigger engine...

Vadim:

Thanks very much for the tip on installation of the ODPS, everything went easy after the cooling fan was removed..... it took me and my tech less than 4 hours total

I already had my fuel setting at "93" instead of "base" but I think that actually adjusts the ignition timing not the fuel enrichment!

As far as feedback goes,,, horsepower is addictive and I felt about the same as stock already(maybe I am already used to it), hehe.

So keep the mods coming, Evosport!

We've a member with chipped RS4, 430 hp
C32 was overtook after 230 km/hr (C32 lead, rolling start at 100 km/hr)
That's before the ODPS.
In the range 100~230, RS4 still outperform enhanced C32 (even the 996 turbo), IMO
Afterwards, C32/ODPS can tail the RS4 all the way to Vmax
Meanwhile E46/M3 is getting far & far behind.(2,3....~8 car length)
That's odps boosts even higher at higher gears.
