Hehe, on the hose on the air pump. I just stashed a little after market air compressor in the spare tire well.

LOL, that's exactly how I felt! It wasn't until I visited a dealership demo on how to change your spare tire that I learned about the air compressor in the trunk. I was always going to the gas station and PAYING for AIR!! Who charges for AIR... ?

Anyway, I thought it worked great, and inflated tires impressively quick for such a small device. I did unknowingly plug it in the front ashtray lighter plug instead of the 12V lighter plug behind the console. That was a mistake according to the manual, but don't think I did any damage.

Quote: Yep.. IR receiver suxs... C55 only has one by driverside and mine doesn't work too well either... Sometime it does and sometime it doesn't..

Don't try it on your date.. Kinda ruins it... lol
LOL it is embarassing when you make your girl wait while you try to lower all the windows and it takes longer to lower them via remote instead of just getting in the car and lowering it yourself

...or, if you had the optional spare tire, the compressor was not included.

I don't know if this works for the non-COMAND systems but, I keep forgetting that the power button works without the key in the ignition, for those times you are sitting in the car listening to the music and don't want to have the ignition on.

What I did just notice though; when the dome light goes off, the COMAND screen will, over about the next 15 seconds, do a slow fade/dim (similar to when the headlights are on). It is the light version of the speed sensitive volume, I guess.

It does work on units without COMAND. I use mine all the time.

I had no idea about this. That's awesome. I find myself in that situation all the time.

Hi all... New to the forum, own an '05 C55, just picked it up a couple of months ago, and love it. =) Keep learning new stuff about it every day too.

Quck question: Saw a post earlier in this thread about the throttle reset... How do I do that??? The guy that had it before me must've driven like a granny, so I'd love to reset it and get it used to my style. lol

Copied from this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...et-smokes.html

1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.

2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.

3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.

4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

You won't need to worry about the reset on the C55. The 32s are the main ones that "need" it.

Just found out today what the little button near the Door Unlock one does - flip down the headrests in the back seat. That's what I get for showing off my car to work friends, lol!

You may not know
I discoverd that the botom of the back seats can be pulled forward using the hidden pull tab. The location of the pull tab is in line with the seat belt, and it is right between the space of the seat and seat belt. Just reach down and pull up!
