C32 is gone...
But...I'll still be on this board.
Picked up an '06 E55. 38K on the clock. Came off lease from a Dr. (found his clinic pamphlets in the rear pocket). Have all service records...car is very clean.
I hate to say it...but...the difference between the two machines is very dramatic. If you're thinking of making the jump...do it.

Nice! If i could have afforded the 211 E55, i would have did it. But that, plus i'm sure maint. costs are a bit more, and gas mileage isn't the greatest. That will probably be the "step up" when i'm done with the C32, but i just gotten started on it.. i'll prolly have it for another 3+ years or more. By that time the prices should all be down a bit.
and how is the gas mileage on it lol?

Also has some sort of factory upgraded steering wheel - don't think it's a DTM...but it's different. Deeper finger groves but still has the piano wood insert.
I did the same thing - wanted an E55...but started with a C32. I'm just stingy when it comes to car prices so I waited.
And mileage? He he. Laughable thus far. I've been in a bunch of rush hour Atlanta traffic - just about the worst in the country if you don't know thanks to urban sprawl - and my first tank was about 13 mpg (gasp). I'll be surprised if I ever see much over 20 on a tank.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Congrats on the purchase.
I was thinking of purchasing an e55 myself but I was pursuaded by my good friend who is a MB master tech to stick to the c55 because of the reliable engine/tranny and less electronics and no airmatic suspension to go bad.

You just tapped into my biggest fear with this beast...from the dynamic seats to the airmatic susp to the...everything...one of the first things I thought was, "Damn, there's a lot to go wrong here." But...alas, with my C32...just about EVERYTHING did go wrong - so I'd built a pretty good relationship (i.e. - put his kids through college) with my service mgr at RBM here in Atlanta. He's pretty firm on his stance that with the '06's, they've got almost everything worked out. But, he also said, "Easy Care"...extended warranty. Let it lapse on the C32, this time around I won't. Would have saved me close to $15K prob.
