What the f@$k?! I keep cleaning this off every week. And it keeps coming back:

I'm referring to the oily stuff at the bolts on top of the intake mani ramps.

Looks like the valve gasket is on it's way out? Did you put a socket on those bolts and check to see if they are very loose?

Exhaust lubricant?? That doesn't sound so bad. A local shop said they thought it might be blinker fluid and that I would need a new motor.

Seriously though, valve cover gasket? How would that affect the nside of my intake plenum?

Aha. That's the intake plenum then? Sorry, not familiar with the supercharged V8 layouts.

If it's intake plenum bolts that are seeping oil, then... it's either motor oil or supercharger oil, I'd guess.

And you don't need a new motor when you run out of blinker fluid. Just get one of of these:

There will always be a slight amount of oil throughout the intake system without a good catch can. If it's seeping through like that though you need new gaskets. I'm sure your running with a boost leak on those manifolds.

This is the first FI car I've ever owned without a proper catch can.

And when you say new gaskets, what new gaskets? I've never heard of a gasket inside of an intake plenum.

Also, does anyone have a link to a complete diagram of this motor. Or a sequence of photos of one being torn down?

there's a gasket below the plenum, but I doubt that's where those oil are from.

take off your airbox and check if you have the recirculating valve cover oil leak. leak from that area can slowly seep through all kinds of places.

btw, mine doesn't have much issue with excess oil that require a catch can, but seems like i'm one of the few.

This is not a C32, but it should be very similar. Check out this thread:

contact needswings. they have a proper oil catch can for your car AND they have the best cork gaskets for the manis. the oem steel gaskets are junk and thats why they are leaking.
