I asked about the engine and here's what I got back??
Dear newzchspy,
"This engine is the first setup they used for the Crossfire and the later SRT-6 motors did have the SRT-6 badge. This complete set-up was a production engine and is crated with the Chrysler part number, 5136802AA, Mercedes part number, A1120100644. The number has since superceded to Chrysler part number, 5140878AB, Mercedes part number A112010644680, which would have the SRT-6 badge and has an application for years 2004-2006. They may have used these engines for the SLK32, if they did, it may have a slight variation but these engines are from Chrysler for the Crossfire."
Thanks
** My question is, did the SRTs ever have a hand signed engine like the AMGs?? *** Does the above response sound correct??

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
AMG's first get the speed shift hardware/software.
And I would bet they get some internal changes as the C32 tranny is from the E55's. AKA they can handle alot more torque. I would highly doubt that MB would put this tranny in a C320, as it would not be cost effective and not required since the C320 has about 300 ft/lbs less torque.

The tranny and motor bolt up without any problems with no codes...long as you run the stock tcu. The gear ratios on the c320 are wider.

Would it be Hard to Find the ECU To Go Along with the New Engine?
I think parts.com sells a c32 ecu for $1800 so its not cheap.
But someone should make good use of this engine.
